JEROME NOLAS: The photo viewer is hopeless, I am sure it was "created" so every lens looks great.
I can't imagine who would say "yes this is exactly what lens makers will love!"

I am complaining since this nonsence was introduced...I am not the only one but others gave up. It was one click affair before, or more clicks depending on what size you wanted. Easy and fast. It's slow and messy now, I am trying to figure out how to get to certain parts of picture and even full screen doesn't help. I am lost. This is my biggest pain in otherwise (almost) perfect website...Thanks

Big, heavy, expensive. All I asked is sharp12-50/60 constant f4, short, light weight, rasonably priced...where is Sigma & Tamron when you need them?

3DSimmon: The shaded area in the arena looks very dark, I wonder how the camera would hold up with a balanced exposure.

Not bad for a phone..!

NickHT: D5500's, really? Couldn't they at least give out D7200's or D7100's for the lowest prizes? The lack of AF micro adjust in the D5500 is a non-starter for many, I bet. And the D7100 retails for only $50 more at the moment. I'm sure most people entering the competition would much, much prefer the D7100 over the D5500. I know I would.

They offered something at least. I think for most people it's the international recognition that matters the most. Cameras are just bonus. My opinion...

On article Tamron announces new 1.4X and 2X teleconverters (15 comments in total)

Why Tamron doesn't make zooms for Sony? I mean standard one, 18-50mm? I don't use super zooms.

Autriche78: This delay highlights one issue, which is the insane degree of inter-dependence that ensues from single-source manufacturing. When ONE facility going offline for whatever reasons can cause these kinds of disruptions across a large sector of ANY industry ( Fuji is raising their prices as a result the same event, supposedly ) , that should be a warning to us that globalization isn't all it's cracked up to be. I hope for all our sakes that pharmaceutical companies that produce life-saving medications don't have similar reliance on single production facilities. And if they do, that they have more brains than to situate them someplace where earthquakes and natural disasters are a frequent occurrence.

This reminds me a bit of a different problem, beach erosion, and of the folks who keep building houses as close as possible to the oceanfront and then complain because they can't get homeowner's insurance.

"I hope for all our sakes that pharmaceutical companies that produce life-saving medications don't have similar reliance on single production facilities. "
Depends on what country you are living in, if your army is strong enough, I am sure they will invade some other country that have enough "life saving medications!"
