I agree, small, lightweight cameras with small lenses, 90mm max. Let's dream on!

New dream machine on the horizon? With new FF mirrorless from Nikon and Canon, others will have to work harder...

Melchiorum: Good news. Now Fuji needs to give us square monochrome film and I'll buy the crap out of it.

I am sure it's coming out soon!

Terrano: 62mm X 62mm that is only slightly bigger than a negative from a Hasselblad? Too bloody small.

Plus few mm frame!

What took you so long Fuji? But thanx anyway, I'll buy one for sure!

MediaArchivist: I recently bought a new car for the first time in twelve years. It has a rear view camera for backing up, which at first I thought was a bit of a gimmick. It was not an option, so I was not paying anything extra for it.

Now I find it indispensable.

Nice feature, eh?

spangzilla: Would rather have a (compact) sea kayaking camera with a bigger sensor instead of one with an EVF.

Yes, without zoom lens!

panther fan: This camera with a better EVF and a 1 inch chip could be a perfect travel camera.
At the moment it is a hard sell. Yes it has the advantage of being rugged and having a zoom compared to a smartphone. But an F3.3 lens on a 1/2.3 inch chip, without all the smartphone processing magic will look really bad compared to any modern smartphone

1" chip with 28-128mm? That would be a monster!!!

panther fan: Great, but if Sony doesn't want to include all the suggested firmware features (like focus point color), at least give us back the firmware features we had on the A7-A7R II:

Things we still miss from the App-system:
-Intervalometer/ Time Lapse
-RAW stacking (smooth relfection app)
-Digital gradual ND-Filter
-Star Trail App
-Light trail App (extremly usefull for firework photography)
-Double Exposure

Things we miss, because of the hacked Apps:
-F**** PAL/NTSC warning removal
-Disabling of the 30min record limit
-Free Intervalometer
-Focus Bracketing

What we really need is Nikon and Canon competition...

SteveOttwa: It worries me that DPR may be contemplating major changes to the web site. My advice is, it ain’t broke so don’t fix it. Resist the compulsion to “improve the user experience”... that scourge of software driven businesses that usually results in achieving just the opposite. If you must change some things, make sure that it is based on real statistically significant user feedback, and not some focus group or (worse) some new fangled theory of web site design.

Maybe they finally figure out the older photo viewer was simply better and put it back!

sh10453: The "Basic Qualifications" are the minimum requirements for a senior-level Computer Science team leader. There is nothing out of the ordinary here.
Even the "Preferred Qualifications" are very much basic for the position.

Some commenters are equating these requirement / qualifications with the qualifications for a "NASA" engineer, or a NASA "Rocket Scientist" position.

Only if you knew what qualifications you must have to be hired as a NASA engineer or a NASA Rocket Scientist. Clearly, some people have no clue.

Clearly not for you...or me...:)

Rob40: the F mount and Z mount have a different diameter, how is that going to work on a adapter. i mean that the Z mount has a bigger diameter then the F mount. if Nikon doesnt drop an epic mirrorless camera that can do battle against the Sony's im afraid that i might switch. run sony mirrorless and Nikon DSLR. D850 and a A7r3 or A7-3. for low light and night time lapse work,. im very confused what to do now.

Use your iPhone...:)
