I agree 100%. All fake!
If this crap were real, they would do a 360 with their iPhone, nevermind a selfie. The set has no 4th wall!

@Thoughts R Us

Actually this fugly monster borders on uselessness.
Apparently Canon is not in the same league as Leica is when it comes to designing high performance lenses in a small package.

The price is dictated by Apple's desire to sell iMac Pros , though .
I don't think their is a market for an overpriced tower with an all-in-one as the affordable option .

That, and OSX has lost too much of its backwards compatibility, making Macs more non-pro and! niche than ever .

@Leitz

your lack of knowledge in this matter is showing. No you can't! You also couldn't get a Monitor of this quality from any manufacturer for any price!

PLShutterbug: I’m disturbed at Adobe’s characterization of the iPad as “a mobile device,” and thereby lumping it in with smartphones. Increasingly the iPad is the primary computer for lots of people, and it has more power than laptops did even a few years ago.

iPads are full-blown computers used by creatives to do full-blown work, and Adobe would do well to consider this in their roadmap.

@PLShutterbug

I agree completely.

Ken60: Why is it that Apple is seen as the only viable mobile platform for photography ?
Is this because Adobe and Apple originate from the same place ? Is this protectionism ? Well go for it guys , perhaps we will see one of the emerging companies come up with a link to an emerging software outfit and present a 14" tablet with inbuilt retouch software that also adds a stylus with amazing pressure sensitivity.

Remember when Kodak were arrogant about what they would release ... then came Fuji Velvia and stole the market. As a decades long user of Non Apple products may I appeal to the Huawei, Samsung, Google etc of this world to add value and give us one application from desktop to pad .

@Ken60

“And what of those that refuse to be sucked in by the "i" generation…”

Why is it that you think that one is “sucked in” for buying an iPad or a Mac?! Have you ever considered that there are those who actually make informed decisions when deciding for an iPad/Mac? Just because others don’t agree with your views you feel you have the right to belittle them by giving negative connotations or use platitudes when making your faulty analysis.
Google/ Android do not qualify as some misunderstood technically superior underdog standing up to Apples evil alliances and machinations. Google and Android just simply sucks! That’s all!
Apple is the superior product/ platform. It was always superior to Windows then and is superior to Android now.
Apple sell technology and innovation. Google sell stolen loot and ads.

white shadow: This is not the 40s or 50s when you need to shoot in B&W using film. Why do you need to shoot in B&W when one can easily convert the RAW files (or even jpec colour file) to B&W using any one of the images processing software ?

Why the need to cripple an image to just B&W ?

@white shadow

a much disqualifying statement!

MrTaikitso: Blame for this is with Apple, not Adobe for all their flaws. Bare in mind am an ultra techie and power user, been using gear and apps since 1981 (ZX-81!) Currently running both an i9 MacBook Pro and Lenovo ThinkPad X1 and owned most iPads and iPad Pros. The sad reality is that iOS/iPadOS! is a toy OS, and despite the superb iPad hardware, you cannot put lipstick on a pig and efforts to turn the iPad into a computer will never ever work. iOS came from the iPhone over 10 years ago. MacOS (and Windows) are true multitasking OSes. MacOS based on UNiX and technically the most robust and efficient OS out there. Apple should DROP iPadOS and iOS and use their ultra powerful A12 and A13 chips and forthcoming Intel bashers (Apple are developing their own CPU!) to create a MacOS convertible tablet with superb ergonomics, like the Surface Pro from MS.
Those of you, like me, waiting for the iPad to catch up with the desktop will be waiting forever. Want mobile Photoshop? Surface X!

@MrTaikitso

these points you are making are redundant. I don’t think anyone here thinks that an iPad can replace a desktop machine and I also have faith in my fellow humans in that I don’t believe they buy an iPad for hooking up five 4K monitors or copying 79 files to a remote server on Mars via SkyNet®. Apples (lack of) vision for the iPad works for me and countless others in sketching, writing, jotting, masking and retouching photographs and much more. The only thing Adobe realized is that they have Mac/ Windows apps that are made up of junk code and bloat which is not portable into a modern computing environment like iPados and that others are stealing their lunch.

Adobe clearly lacks engineering resources and vision.

@MrTaikitso

not true!

If Apple were to blame for Adobes junk software then how is it that Affinity is perfectly capable of releasing fantastic professional software for iPados…? Actually, the identical (psd) file will run quicker on my iPad Pro in Affinity Photo than in Photoshop on my mac!

“…I’d go too the moon in a nano second, the problem is we don’t have the technology to do that anymore, we used to have that technology but we destroyed it and it is a painful process to build it back again…” Don Pettit, Nasa Astronot.

Who actually believes this nonsense?

If it helps them sell more cameras, be it.

@tm8

it was so hard that during the Apollo 11 press conference, one could get the impression Armstrong, Aldrin and Collins were attending their mothers funeral rather than celebrating mans greatest achievement. And indeed, Buzzed Aldrin actually did mourn the loss of his mother who committed suicide shortly before he went off to become one of the first man on the moon… and all three became alcoholics and social rejects afterwards.

Oh and btw, the moon rocks are indeed fake, the one given to Holland by Buzzed Aldrin turned out to be petrified wood.
