On article Hands-on with the Canon RF 14-35mm F4 L IS USM (390 comments in total)

like the 24-240mm, they're going to be relying on software to make up for the weak corners?

dxomark gave the a6300 a better score than the newest a6600. The a6300 is a great value used!

therislight: Got it yesterday and made a comparison with a high IS0 image (ISO 25k) from an older Sony APS-C camera (a5100), taken in the dark.
One can definitely spot a difference there, even when not zooming in. Colour reproduction seems to be "smoother" and hard edges are more natural and not with a "stepped" structure.
On the downside is the compute time. The standard DxOprime took 20sec, the DxOdeepPrime 91 sec to process the same image with the same settings on the same hardware.

A comparison made with a ISO 3200 image from a Sony a7RII shows no improvement to me, even not at 100% zoom. Again, compute time went up significantly.

If you have a large bunch of images at high resolution, you might want to to the computation over night I guess.

Iris pro graphics are integrated and are terrible for this. You need a real modern gpu.

Deep prime is insanely fast with a good gpu (I have a RTX 3090). They finally updated it to process Canon R5 raws too. I already made use of the watermarking. Nice!

Kuzmabrik: It is the first really compact mirrorless FF camera. It is even smaller than some APS-ะก and m4/3 cameras so it could be a game changer.

doubtful

Aaron Yang: Can't wait to get this camera for its amazing IBIS, focus stacking ability. Coupled with reasonably acceptable autofocus performance and a very good 28-70mm f/2, it would be the perfect camera for most applications I need (portrait, event photography, street photography, landscape).

Noticed no mention of video lol. We can make smores by the heat of the R5 and R6 during 8k video recording :)

I have this lens it's amazing. Probably could have gone longer with the exposure with a lower iso and no star trails.

Interesting; I need to test if this improves the freezing during AF when using Canon lenses on the Sony A7RIII. I've returned a few A7RIII and the problem is the canon lenses with the Mc-11.
