About me:

Daniel J. Cox has been documenting nature for over 40 years in mediums of both stills and video. As the industry has changed he’s become fluent in working with the most up to date technologies such as Final Cut Pro, Mylio, ScreenFlow, iPad and other technologies that help bring important stories to the world. He currently manages Natural Exposure's blog that receives 1000+ visits per day to help his readers better understand the fast changing world of multimedia technology, conservation and travel. Daniel has been recognized and awarded in competitions including the BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year and Nature’s Best. He has been featured in galleries such as the Natural History Museum in London and the National Museum of Wildlife Art in Jackson, Wyoming. He’s a regular contributor to natural history publications worldwide, is featured on the Masthead of Outdoor Photographer, works with Hewlett Packard as a consultant for their fine art printers, he’s been honored as a “Nikon Legend” and is a mentor for American Photo’s “Mentor Series” photography workshops. In 2013 he was awarded the Outstanding Photographer of the Year by the North American Nature Photographers Association. His most personally satisfying accomplishments, however, include his two cover stories for National Geographic Magazine as well as his current volunteer work as Director of The Arctic Documentary Project for Polar Bears International. He is sole photographer for twenty books including his most recent children’s title Portia Polar Bear’s Birthday Wish.
