Pity. I would be probably one of those who would buy it :-)

While assigning this Recall Func. you can press the INFO button and select which settings you want to specify and which to use from actual settings. For example - if you wanted to be able to switch ...
-
I would recommend you to switch to back button focusing, assign the AF-ON button to AF with one bigger point and assign the * button to eye detect with initial point from AF point (second option). ...
-
I think you have to go to Camera / 3 / Customize buttons and set Multi Controller to direct AF Point selection. Then you move the focus point by joystick in any direction. Davi
-
I have chosen 50/1.2 first, then 28-70/2 and while waiting for it, I bought 24-105/4. This covers nicely all scenarios :-) But as allways, it very much depends on your needs. If you go for a sort ...

Incredibly incredible picture :-)

The camera behavior depends on what you have set the rollers. Check the settings https://cam.start.canon/en/C004/manual/html/UG-08_Custom_0030.html#Custom_0030_3-4 David
-
The only work-aroud is to move the focusing point by joystick, it does not refocus. David
-
Perhaps you could use the Lock button. I have set Touch Control only to this button, so I can use all buttons and wheels and disable only the touch LCD David
-
Sorry. You are right - when you move the focusing point on the LCD, it focuses (or even takes a photo, if set so). I did not find any setting to disable it. Only to switch to MF and AF again - clumsy.

There is 43mm@F2 and 70mm@F2

I am looking at my pictures with 28-70/2@28/F2 and there are really few with such composition, where the corners should be sharp. In fact, I have found only two of them, and they are of the most ...

I have both R6 and EM1X. The R6 is clearly better, although the EM1X is quite usable. But R6 is much faster, stickier and can be used for BIF in any scenario. EM1X only for slower birds. For ...

The button next to * on the right. And the front button to Direct AF select. But this is all aimed to fast action photography, of course. David
-
I did the same with * button - EyeDetect and I went even further - I assingned another focus setup to the third back button - a wide zone with fast shutterspeed :-) I mostly shoot sport, reportage ...

In Hi+ there is no blackout as such, there is the last taken picture visible. With 9-12 fr/sec it is acceptable for following moving objects. For slower speeds it is clumsy. David
-
Difficult to answer. I have both, but there were no time to compare them both in the same situation. If you value lightness of your gear and if you never use tripod, then EM1-3 has a lot to offer, ...
-
You should use Hi+ only to minimise blackout. For Hi there is an option called High Speed Display in Camera / 7. Also, in Camera / 8 set Diplay Perf. to Smooth David

I just wanted to write something similar like Valentine. Having both R6 + 24-105/4 and EM1-3 + 12-100/4, I would probably choose Oly for handheld landscapes. Still, R6 is a fantastic camera, best ...
