I've read in another review (Mirrorless Comparisons) that the stabilization can be either IBIS or in-lens but not both. Has there been a definite claim by Olympus that this lens is part of the Sync system?

Aroart: So is it pronounced I S O or ice o... that’s all I want to know.. let’s just keep it simple.. All you need to know is to keep it as low as possible and be the last resort to properly expose your image..

Not really. An acronym is a word formed from initials. Richard says it's not an acronym. Then it should be pronounced as an initialism. But I'm inclined to think it has become an acronym(at least in English). Hence it is pronounced as a word.

and doesn't the Nokia 9 have 5 cameras (making this not the "first pentacamera")? I tried to look up Nokia 9 on this site to check but it would seem none of the new Nokias have their specs listed.

cirke: Same with 50mm Summicron and a decent buffer for this century and I buy it at once

But it does make it 50mm, albeit with only 15MP.

tmxgkh: Aw man was hoping for 4K 60p on G95 but nope. But how is the 4K crop on the G95 even more than the G85 tho..

That's what I was about to say (maybe less eloquently). Isn't it just inevitable that if you start off with 5184 horizontal pixels, and you only need 3840 horizontal pixels for 4K, then the balance will be unused?

In reply to:

plainwhite: I've been seriously considering the Q for some time now. What's still keeping me for acquiring one is the focal length (I prefer 35mm) and the lack of weather-sealing.

Once those two things are taken care of, there will not be any reason not to purchase one anymore.

My 2cents

You can use the Q as a 35mm, with its auto-cropping feature. Only drawback is that resolution drops to 15.4MP.

Unless you want to set off a new equivalence tsunami, I suggest you amend the commentary to slide 6 to something like "a 34mm f3.6 lens would (at least from a depth of focus perspective)..."

BeaverTerror: "The RX100 III does offer something closer to true pocketability, a higher resolution sensor at 21MP, an articulated LCD and a faster lens."

Am I missing something?

GM5: 99 x 60 x 36 mm 281g
RX100 III: 102 x 58 x 41 mm 290g

And a faster lens isn't worth crap if the sensor is significantly smaller, which in this case it is; not to mention the Panasonic is an interchangeable lens camera.

Yes, areas as set out in table on first page of review.

225mm divided by 116mm = 1.94, not 1.35.

Is there any chance DPR could do the G5 review as a kind of addendum to the GH3 review - compare and contrast. The software and features should be similar.
