Agreed, I'd rather have a 1.8 that performs nicely wide open than a 1.4 that requires stopping down to get to the same level.

If its flashing in the charger, its likely to be a battery failure.

50 - 150 f2 in Z mount would be perfect for me.

Looks like the best choice if you want the best overall performance.
