On article Nikon D850 vs Sony a7R III: Which is best? (1040 comments in total)

MIC37: I am still waiting for a mirrorless Nikon. The mirrorless Sony should be compared to the mirrorless Nikon and not to the DSLR.

Yes, because the comparison of incomparable items is "politically" incorrect.

Artem Holstov: Why is one side wood and the other - leather? It looks weird.

Because the wood is the most expensive part of this masterpiece.

We all have to start somewhere, somehow.

This is just a Kick ...

Mikhail Konovalov: The 24-120 is listed but the 24-85 isn't. Why would this be?

Because it is too cheap to be listed ;)

On article Nikon's official D850 lens recommendation list (310 comments in total)

So, the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 18-35mm f/3.5-4.5G ED is not "recommended" and it is sharper than 16-35VR.
The recently updated version Nikon AF-P NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6E ED VR is not included. What was the point to design it?
All 50mm lenses (any of them sharper than 70-200VR zoom) are not"recommended" also.
The AF-S NIKKOR 35mm f/1.8G is not "recommended" too.
Let me ignore these recommendations.

Probably it makes sense to consider a Full Frame to be based not on 24 x 36mm frame ratio but on 16:9 ratio since majority of pictures presented on HDTV screens. At least there should be an option to choose this (16 : 9) ratio from the menu.

Auke B van der Weide: The world is bigger then the bible belt. How ironic that a lot of white evangelicals voted for a man like Trump. The world misses Obama... no one will ever miss Trump. The problem is no one knows how much damage he will do when his 4 or 8 years are over.

Auke B van der Weide,
Who gave you a permission to speak on Behalf of the Entire World?
I am not going to list here all the damages done for the last 8 years ...

I don't see any point to discuss this picture because there is nothing to discuss.

I've checked my camera by the number and it is affected according to the second recall. I believe, that if your serial number is included in present recall, it just means that this camera may be affected.
I've checked the camera trying to replicate the described issues and I do not see any of them because they are not present.
I will not send it in for repairs unless they exchange it for a brand new one.

On article Google will no longer develop Nik Collection (392 comments in total)

The NIK filters with their U-point technology were and are a revolutionary improvement in editing technology. This was and is the most logical and practical approach for photographers. For me, any photo editing software without Nik Collection is not fully functional and practical.
I want NIKON to take it back and start to use it in their Capture NX-D like they did it in Capture NX2. The U-POINT technology is a brilliant idea that must be alive. Abandoning this technology is like putting a piece of pure gold in a garbage.

I guess, in order to survive Nikon and Canon should introduce their own Smartphones.

Probably the only way to survive for Nikon and others is to produce a ... PHONE.
And I approve this message :)

This program is basically use a cliche. It just compares your image with a huge database of "historically" good images. I believe, the art cannot be jugged by the computer programs. It can help to distinguish technically good images.
