On article Google will no longer develop Nik Collection (386 comments in total)

The NIK filters with their U-point technology were and are a revolutionary improvement in editing technology. This was and is the most logical and practical approach for photographers. For me, any photo editing software without Nik Collection is not fully functional and practical.
I want NIKON to take it back and start to use it in their Capture NX-D like they did it in Capture NX2. The U-POINT technology is a brilliant idea that must be alive. Abandoning this technology is like putting a piece of pure gold in a garbage.

I guess, in order to survive Nikon and Canon should introduce their own Smartphones.

Probably the only way to survive for Nikon and others is to produce a ... PHONE.

Nikon, when you will be able to produce a camera that matches video AF abilities of the Canon T6i? Why you are so slow?

DOA because of price, lack of video and split focusing screen for manual focus lenses.
