dlb41: Am I calculating this correctly? This sensor has a .43" diagonal dimension.

.30" I think

6.17 x 4.55 mm makes a diagonal of 7.66mm ( 0.30")

johnsmith404: Since people were asking, at a CP+ presentation the Sigma CEO has explicity stated that Canon, Tamron and Tokina lenses are not supported by this adapter (the LED shouldn't even turn on).

I don't think they will ever write firmware to allow people to switch brands from Canon to Sony and keep all their 'Canon' lenses. from a business point of view I think its a shrewd move and cant blame them, although there will be a greater percentage of profit in the adapter, simple PCB and a no glass. if metabones can get their software right they will be back as top dog..

Does this mean Sigma is side stepping the need to make FE lenses? Maybe Tamron will step up to the mark, let's hope so.

Teo Gin: Pentax K-1 is a reality! The Toy Story of stupid APS size is getting the road to the end!
They tried to do it again in the past on film's way and they didn't manage to succeed to earn money against us.
They tried to do it again and succeeded by the help of digital age.
They gave us small sensors first and then they were prepared to give us full frame sensors.
What about all of you who bought APS lenses?
I tried to make you see, but lots of you couldn't understand me!
Congratulations to Ricoh!
At last Pentax did the right move, but now the technology is much better than a few years before!
Support Pentax now, as it has the best Full Frame body and at the best price.
You can find thousands of k mount lenses on the Internet and you can use them, as the body still has the same K mount and it has the shake reduction in it!
After analog Pentax z1, this is my next dream! I wish I had it as soon as I can!
Congratulations again and again! 😀💙

Support Pentax now? Are you being paid buy them? Its a business and it does not care about you as an individual.

I have an A7 MK1 and I am beginning to wonder what was the point, the lenses are getting bigger and so front heavy a battery grip is required .. Maybe I should have bought stuck with Canon or bought an A99 and saved fortune on lenses..

cosinaphile i would like to see your design for its replacement, lets judge you on your effort to bring something unique and not a clone Leica to the mass market.

I am having to sit on my hands with excitement.

Alpha Whiskey Photography: Took some long exposures in London with this camera. Not a bad little performer, and the in-built ND filter helps with slowing the shutter speed too.

These are very pleasing on the eye, very nice indeed. Where can i see some higher res ones?

X-T10 and the 27 f/2.8 is a killer, but trust me, you will always wish you bought the X-T1 as its smallish yet feels awkwardly small in the hand, maybe I should have bought the grip but for the extra £ then why not buy the X-T1 as its not that bis either.

The X-T10 is like your girlfriend, same as your mates girl mostly but still the curiosity will always be there..

Roniflex: Marriage "pro" photographers now use 4K movies to extract good images. No more photography but only filming.
What a pity! It's another downgrade of quality technology-inducted.

When you see beautiful marriage images of parents shooted 20 or 30 years ago with medium format cameras ; and now the crap, hyper-saturated, photoshopped images... total quality regression with hyper technological engines.

You can always go back to film whilst waiting for MF sensors to come down in price, start buying the lenses now though ;)
