Or they cancel the five year warranty in the US right as you decide to get one.

Agreed. No matter what color you pick, there will be a situation where that color matches the subject the AF indicator is on. Having the camera automatically change color (from a range that you...

Please shake the Nikon team responsible for the V2. The only way to turn off the focus confirmation beep was to put the camera into silent mode, which forced the camera to use electronic shutter. I ...

Why a superzoom? Because without changing lenses, you can go from this to this to this Canadian Snowbirds IIRC at the 2008 SF Fleetweek with the D3 + Sigma 50-500mm (the original, non-OS Bigma). ...

If no one replies, I'd recommend searching or cross-posting in the Adapted Lens forum. There's currently a thread on Pentax 645 t/s, but I don't think I've seen one on Mamiya 7.

I had the old 50-500mm Sigma some time ago. The zoom range was amazing during one Fleet Week, as I could go from wide enough to capture all the planes, to zooming in tight for just one. IQ was OK ...

Safety of your equipment. If you have a VR lens, the VR element moves to a locked position if you power down the camera. If you unmount the lens with the camera on, the VR element could be in any ...

I'm using Chrome, and when I right click on the page, "Translate to English" shows up in the drop-down menu. To the OP: Thanks for posting this, bookmarked them for when I get home.

I got my first SLR in 1979, and it (and every lens I've owned with an aperture ring) had clicked aperture stops. I wouldn't call 1979 "modern" ;-)

I have F mount, Z mount, and 1 series (sadly the 1 gets no love) bodies and lenses. As with any camera, I mostly use the latest and greatest, which means the F mount and 1 series kits don't get ...

It works fine on my Z9 and Z7 with the latest firmware, so it hasn't bricked it yet. The adapter should have come with what looks like a rear lens cover, but it has a USB port and some pins. You ...

Have you updated the firmware? My TZE-01 came with a really old version of the firmware, and any lens I tried wouldn't AF etc. Updating the firmware made it work fine.

The Z mount has one of the shortest FFL, which means you can adapt a lot lenses from different mounts to them. My lens count has only continued to grow. I definitely need to do some paring though, ...

Hmm...confirmation that Z mount lenses should AF faster? high-speed AF information communication unique to the Z-mount.

Glad you got your camera back quickly; I know the pain of not having your primary body, having sent a D3 for repair years ago (oddly enough it was a broken lens release button). I'm curious as to ...

Nope, 120fps bursts are counted as one shot. Probably applies to 60 and 30fps too (haven't tested those). I have a friend who refuses to record video with his DSLRs as he thinks that will lead to ...

Happy New Year! I stayed in, got wet earlier in the day from all the rain in the bay. Glad to see it cleared up for the fireworks though, nice photo.

I've only had my Z9 for about nine months, but hands down it's the best camera I've owned. It has lived up to my expectations, and the firmware upgrades have only improved it. Is it perfect? Of ...
