Thanks! I miss that area, used to get up there all the time, but now that I'm retired I don't get to travel as much. Thanks again!

  • Submitted a challenge entry First Grandchild, Love at first sight!
My wife and I had made the trip to see our first grandchild. I had just put my camera gear away and as I walked back into the living room I saw this. I ran back, grabbed my A55 with Sony G 70-300mm lens and shot wide open. Only got a few shots before the magical moment was over.

Shot during long hike above Multnomah Falls in Oregon in October, 2005. Can't really recall which part of the trail this was taken on, but would love to make it back there someday.

  • Submitted a challenge entry SandyCreekCoveredBridge
Late fall afternoon shot of Sandy Creek Covered Bridge in Hillsboro, Missouri. I backed off a bit and didn't go for the usual close up shot of the bridge. I recall actually riding across the bridge in my Dad's car when I was a child. It's a state park now. Only foot traffic.

Shot up at the end of the road as far as we could go that day for a couple of hours. We packed up and left. As we were driving down the road I went around a curve and saw the lenticular cloud in the rear view mirror. Turned around quickly and got a few shots, the cloud was gone in about 10 minutes.

  • I'd like to upgrade again, but it's not in the cards right now.  I guess I really got spoiled to the earlier Sony's with IS built in, 850, A77, A55, etc.  I've also used shutter preferred once in ...
  • I'm going to say it's both!  As I've gotten older and with it arthritis and other issues have crept in that caused me to move to lighter and smaller cameras.  I now shoot with the A6000, NEX-6, ...
