turvyT: The only big drawback that this camera and other compacts have is that when the body becomes old, the lens goes with it. And bodies become old pretty soon these days.
Fixed lens is an accurate description point and shoot makes zero sense.

This is no point and shoot it has full manual control if you want to use it.
LenRivers: Leica to my knowledge does manual focus only cameras. Iโve looked at specs and maybe just missed this. Does this have autofocus ability

Olympus has hand held high resolution mode that takes 16 images. Maybe they could do a hand held exposure mode.

Yes like HDR merging but automatically in camera with the ability to set the boundaries.

Every pixel record at different levels automatically. Then we can go in and choose what values we want. Shadows to dark choose the more exposure capture. Highlights to light then choose the lower value.
I donโt see how the wave form is any better. All downsides as far as I can see since it is larger and takes up more screen space.

No you are adjusting one exposure. Not the same has having several unique exposures to choose from then adjust as needed.

I wish my Pen F was fully modern in design especially with a grip. But to get a small MFT camera I had to buy what they make.

501DSW: I own a Q and there is nothing about the Q2 that makes me want one. The lens is the same optically and I've not found a mere 24Mp to be a restriction that needs $5k to overcome.
A 24mp version of this same weatherised body would be my preference actually. Lower cost of course.

Since they used an MFT sensor I wish they would have used an MFT sensor mount. Lots of glass and smaller than what they have now.
