Canon PowerShot G5 X Mark II
Canon EOS 5D Mark IV
Canon EOS 70D
The G5 is a great point and shoot camera with ergonomics and touch menu systems very much like the bigger and heavier as well a an excellent 20MP high quality low light sensitive sensor similiar to those in Canon interchangeable lens cameras. The Lens is sharp from wide angle to 180mm andsharp in the center to 120mm with a good pop up viewfinder for shooting in bright sunny locations where the rear LCD display is not easily used.
The EOS 5D MkIV is the most recent and may the final model in this 30MP full frame series of DSLR cameras as the world evolves to the successor mirrorless camera. This model is destined be the best Canon DSLR of all time and in a world where the future best cameras will be mirrorless.
This amazing autofocus breakthrough leader EOS 70D is a mid-range SLR that was first to use the sensational performance 20.2MP dual pixel autofocus sensor. This major breaklthrough CMOS AF' sensor delivers hugely improved autofocus by reducing unnecessary lens hunting for focus in mirrorless live view and during movie recording. For shooting with the optical viewfinder it has a 19-point AF module same as in the EOS 7D and 7DII following which now incorporaes the 20.2MP dual pixel sensor in Live View
Canon EOS 7D Mark II
Canon EOS R
Canon EOS R5
This weather-sealed rugged built camera include a dual pixel focus 20.2MP APS_C size sensor with a fast 10fps mechanical shutter for an outdoor camera including a 1.6X crop factor ideal for long reach telephoto 10 fps stills and video action wildlife photography at further distances than full frame cameras.
A great camera with accurate autofocus and good low light operation in general photography and videography but not for for ultra fast action shooting like the R5 or 7DII.
The R5 is the Canon mirrorless 5D mk IV series upgrade model and promising to be more versatile and better than the 5D in all ways. The 5D was the best DSLR I have used and very powerful performer in all uses. The R5 may be my first perfect camera. Time will tell but I keep my 5D IV too.
Canon EF 100-400mm F4.5-5.6L IS II USM
Canon EF 100mm f/2.0 USM
Canon EF 100mm F2.8L Macro IS USM
Fairly sharp wide open and fairly fast USM focus make in attractive for indoor school sports action.
Canon EF 135mm F2L USM
Canon EF 16-35mm F2.8L III USM
Canon EF 180mm f/3.5L Macro USM
Fairly sharp and fairly fast focus.
Canon EF 24-70mm F2.8L II USM
Canon EF 24mm f/1.4L II USM
Canon EF 35mm F1.4L II USM
Canon EF 400mm f/2.8L IS USM
Canon EF 50mm F1.4 USM
Canon EF 50mm F1.8 II
Canon EF 70-200mm F2.8L IS III USM
Canon EF 70-300 F4-5.6 IS II USM
Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6L IS USM
A very useful telephoto focal length range, relatively small size and light weight, and decent Image Stabilization make this a travel telephoto. Not as sharp though or as versatile as the larger, heavier EF 100-400mmf4.5-6.3L IS II USM which works with TCs. Not weather sealed or rugged metal like EF 70-300f4-5.6L. the IQ of this consumer grade lens, while very good, this consumer grade lens is not a sharp as thd 70-300 L lens but many will like that it is 3/4 lb lighter and costs less half the price of the L lens.
Very sharp and good contrast wide open throughout the entire zoom range. Fast and accurate focus good bokeh and contrast when using the R5. Handy short lens easy to pack upright in camera bag. Weather sealing and rugged construction makes it attractive for travel along with the 24-70 or 24-105 L zoom lenses. Works well with R5. Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6L IS USM is a compact weather sealed L quality lens that operates very well with R5 as part of a compact travel kit. It's very short length similar to the RF 24-105mmf4 L IS in length make them both easy fit in my bag upright rather than laying down like large lenses require. The render, bokeh and sharpness when shooting wide open are equally excellent throughout the complete zoom range. The corners and edges are moderately sharp and improve with when reducing aperture one stop. This is not large aperture lens like a f2 or f2.8 but it is very sharp even wide open at f4 at 70mm and f5.6 at 300mm as well as everywhere in between. An expensive but top quality L lens though heavy in comparison to consumer grade lenses. The R5 is an ideal body to handle the f4-5.6 aperture which works well outdoors in bright light and requires higher ISOs in the shade. The Canon R5 body is quite good for low noise compressed RAW file images at ISO 3000-6000 when used with DXO Photolab 4 Deep Prime noise reduction software routines. This 10 year old EF zoom is handy in size and competitive with excellent RF mount Canon L zooms like the 15-30mm,24-70mm, 70-200mm & 100-500mm.
Canon EF 85mm F1.2L II USM
Canon EF 85mm F1.4L IS USM
Canon EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM
Great character and bokeh but slow in focus when it goes hunting. Distinctive attractive head shot portrait look and color straight out of the camera.
Good sharpeness and bokeh wide open and fast focus with stabilization makes it good for both portraits and indoor action sports.

An excellently with very fast and accurate focussing. Great IQ.
Canon RF 15-35mm F2.8L IS USM
Canon RF 24-105mm F4L IS USM
Canon RF 24-240mm F4-6.3 IS USM
Very sharp center and good color for a 10X super zoom over the 24-130mm straight out of the camera JPEGs. Center sharp from 130-240mm. Great of all in one lens used in travel and hiking.
Canon RF 24-70mm F2.8L IS USM
Canon RF 35mm F1.8 IS STM Macro
Canon RF 50mm F1.2L USM
This the best 50mm prime Canon has introduced in the past 30 years I have been buying Canon lenses. It crazy sharp @f1.2, from center to edges and corners. Incredibly fast AF, very very precise with R5 eye-AF it has very good and smooth "bokeh". Amazing levels of stabilization to a Canon claim of 8 stops when using the R5 IBIS. Every bit as amazing fast focusing & excellent rendering performer as the f2.8 trinity of RF lenses that go well along with it for a great pro quality system.
