  • They look like Cine lenses, however having such an extreme thin DOF is not all that practical to use in moviemaking. Strange design. Guess they are just patents, nothing that will be made for real...

  • that 1.2 has a very very slow AF, no IS, no weather resistance and the bokeh can get pretty terrible wide oben under certain conditions (can be lovely on other ocassions though) - so there is lots...

  • "Adding to the problem is Canon's metering system, which tends to underexpose images when there's strong back-light. If the metering sensor were high resolution or advanced enough to detect faces,...

  • Beeing a Wedding, Couple and Familiy Photographer, that eye AF really gets me going and is something i would ditch my Canons for. however, i can also find pros and cons in any system and switching...

  • The lens is soft and the x-trans, while looking organic and "nice", was never a detailmonster. its no camera for people who want "punch" and clarity (better look at sony here).

  • yupp, i use the 6D only with the center point, even in daylight. canon know why they stripped the joystick for af-selection from the back - there is no need to use that anyway :D

    but i always...

  • as i said, there is always something better, but even the 6D is on a level where in 95% of cases you are the limiting factor, not the camera.

  • I was using a 5D3 and a 6D at weddings until last season, now the 6D is ditched and a 5D4 added to my bag.

It worked all fine with the 6D but the upgrade is noticable, mostly in lower light stuff...

  • So does this mean Lenses that did not get the update do not support the 20fps black-out-free shooting of the A9? Because thats what is listed on the changelog for the linked lenses.

  • i hope so. can´t be that difficult to flip an lcd in place between the prism and eyepiece. might be even possible to project through the prism from the front without moving parts. the mirror is up...

  • For me, having a mirrorless camera is not for the benefit of size (thats practically non-existent with fast glass when you look at the whole system) - but i love the EVF and the precise focusing...

  • what for?

  • The M6 with an inbuild EVF please...

  • Hm...still looks like VHS Footage, and thoose stitching lines that cut fish in half are not pretty either. I think this technology has to go a long way until really usable.

sure, but its 2017, such things should work out of the box without pushing buttons, as on any other camera.

  • the camera is perfectly able to write fast enough, as long as you dont use the 500mbps datarate the 5d IV does. the more common 100-200mbps would be no problem on a cf card. it actually writes...

Does the Eye-Sensor still tend to fail when you are in bright sunlight and dont press the cam directly to your face? Made me mad on the X100S.

  • Commented on article Fujifilm X100F Review

nope, it is not, i shot with two x100s myself ;) the soft raws at higher ISOs dont help either. however as i said its not a huge deal-breaker for photography itself, just for the price fujifilm...

While the soft lens does not take away from the joy of using and shooting with that little gem, its still somewhat "meh" when looking at the price tag. also, does is it still have the noisy...

  • At the apertures used, basically any lens made since the 70s is sharp :) the differences come to life when you use them wide open, but yes, even there a good prime is a good prime and you wont see...
