jmw4: I am an adobe subscriber but I only use Lightroom classic cc. I have zero interest in having to upload my pictures to a cloud before editing them. What if I want to edit my pictures when I don’t have internet connection? What if my internet connection is slow? What if my files are compromised on their cloud? It just doesn’t make sense to me. I have thousand of pictures I want to be able to have access to immediately on my own computer no matter where I’m at, internet connection or not.

Okay, that’s more comforting. My comment was in reply to the authors prediction of the eventual elimination of the classic version. So your saying if this happens, you can still use Lightroom cc without having to upload your photos to the cloud?
