content_creator_666: As much as I enjoyed the review and all the pretty graphs and photos, I think all that was needed to inform our purchasing decisions was just one simple quote:
Thoughts R Us:
"Much if not most of the creative world uses Macs."
Really, that's it. "most of the creative world uses Macs" - Completely factual, and has me sold. If I even considered a Windows machine I might risk a whole life of blossoming creativity. I basically cannot be considered a legitimate artist without a Mac. Apple, you(r PR machine) did great.
Maybe there's some PR involved, but it's mostly heritage. I've been using Apple since the first CMYK-prints came out of my LCII. Apple has always invested in the creative sectors. So did Adobe, and more software houses that are key to professional creative artists. The up-time (reliability) and ease of use (getting-out-of-the-way of creating) is fantastic. This heritage is real.
(unknown member): This Kickstarter campaign has now exceeded $1m pledges. There will be hundreds of disappointed customers who thought they were buying a Japanese manual focus digital camera, and those people won't be protected under any consumer rights legislation.
1. Never buy anything via crowd funding.
2. "Expect the unexpected"
A scam by any other name would smell as rotten.
It says Chai Wan, Hong Kong. Or did they just change that? Could be, I didn't check before. Edit: Now I see. The publisher is based in Hong Kong. The brand is located in Japan. Or, was located in Japan. Good point fmaxwell.

I bought one and know what I'm getting. A small novelty camera, a funky toy. Nothing more. Relax. A scam? Really?!
I think it's a funky little thing and I want one.
It does the trick if you want a regular one-shot-next-to-each-other panorama. I use the Gigapan Pro and it does not only move horizontal, but vertical as well. The tracking mode on the panocatcher looks good though. And it's a LOT smaller than the Gigapan Pro..!
JEROME NOLAS: Hihg end camera with Bayer sensor, that's what I am waiting for...
Plenty of choice. What about a Canon 5D. It's been out a couple of years now, what are you waiting for?
I like it. And, unless it is total crap, I will buy it.
iLeicaLot: Good to see Fuji is still updating the X-Pro1. But why no Classic Chrome for us?
Aha. That makes sense. Thanks.

Dimitris Servis: 1. It says "Submit photos by end of day Friday 11/7 please"
2. It seems it is only for Ozyxy
1. I'm in Europe, DPreview is probably asleep now. They'll fix it.
2. :-)
I wonder if Paul's Boutique's still there
Duncan Dimanche: You know the fuji sensors are nice in low light but they are never sharp. Even the RAWs are being stripped off noise in order to create an illusion of amazing high ISO performance... it does remind me of Sony's JPGs
It would be nice if those samples shot would be in RAW...
But I know that there is little difference in Fuji's raw and JPGs...
I'm trying to like Fuji but I really can't...just look at that girl's portrait... there seems to be not much details....
Cheers and thanks for posting those
Have you used, for instance, a X-Pro1 yourself? How are Fuji sensors never sharp?
calking: Can't wait to hear what all the x-trans sensor haters have to say if/when the BAYER sensor XA-1 comes out at an even lower price than the XM-1.
Oh wait...never mind.
