On photo Landscape in the Almost Overprocessed -- An Editing Challenge challenge (4 comments in total)
In reply to:

spiritedbebop: I think that this hits the sweet spot for this competition. I find the contrast between the blue foreground and the fiery sky really pleasing.

Thanks a lot for liking and commenting on the pic. I am glad you think this picture meets the requirements of the challenge, though I know it doesn't.. :-) . But as the challenge had the word 'Overprocessed' in the topic, and I personally like this picture, I decided to submit it. Thanks again for your comments. It means a lot to me, more than the votes or winning...

Lynn876: I really want to see the hords and chariots of hell's angels a' la 1800's English paintings descending from this sky to chastise the wicked frozen spectators. A bit overdone, but beautiful colors.

Good imagination πŸ˜‰. Thanks for your feedback. Yes, it surely is over-processed...

Any idea of the type of bird?

Thanks for your appreciation. The bird is called the Rusty Cheeked Scimitar Babbler.

CytoCanon2016: Perfect use of perspective and color, very dramatic effect!

Thanks again. I am glad you found my picture interesting. This picture is also close to my heart, as it has an interesting story behind it. The ship was old, and was being towed to a shipyard, when it's towing cable broke, and the ship wondered in the sea without pawer, floated freely towards a public beach, missing narrowly a bridge on its way. This pic was taken when the ship was grounded at the public beach, before it was towed away on next high tide. Thanks again...

cjf2: Nice image of an interesting butterfly. It is clearly brown and fitted the theme well. It deserved to place higher. I thought it might have been the winner.

Thanks... Got many half and one stars... 😊

cjf2: Great picture that deserved to place higher. It had 5 stars from me. Great bird in subtle lighting and the rain adds to it too. Good composition but I think I’d crop off half the tree trunk width on the right of the frame to concentrate on the bird more.
Well done.

Thanks for the feedback. I will surely crop out the tree. Thanks a lot...
