EDWARD ARTISTE: Thank you god. Its the most ridiculous thing in the world that consumers- and pro- have to spend thier time on this nonsense. If i want to rent a body, it could be for naught, because the lens and body dont like each other. BONKERS.

True story

In japan while shooting a portrait, i checked every shot to make sure i was nailing the closest eye. I got some great shots, then zoomed into the detail...omg

it was actually hitting the second eye instead! Perfect light, no wind or hand movement in the equation, on a fantastic 5d3.

What did i do?

I pleaded for her patience, then alternated changing AFMA settings, taking a shot, rinse repeat.

I got my shots with the proper eye in focus (f2.5/2.8).

I afma'd my 24-105 using a tree :) . stood in place, didnt change anything except afma for wide and tele. Checked the results. 24-105 is supposed to be very sharp in the middle, especially wide. The shap picture settings won.

I was good to go. STINKS that i had to do this at all.

True story? 24-105 and F2.5/2.8 ???

I really want to know why my 1DSMKII is better focusing that any other camera from Canon that I owe (5DI,1DSMKIII,1DMKIV), didn't try the new 5DMKIII or 1DX yet.....
