I had the Lumix L1 and thought it was the future. I went out of my way to buy the 25mm 1.4 Summilux (an amazing lens) for another grand, figuring even if the body becomes obsolete I would have committed to a great lens series. Then Panasonic stopped the 4/3 and any further lenses. I dumped it all and vowed never to buy another non-standard lens series that could go defunct. I felt Panasonic had defrauded me, in essence. So now if it's Canon it's the EF. If it's Leica, it's the M. No more farting around.
I wonder how the sky would look if it were white and the stars and other heavenly bodies were white? O well, at least it's an option.
There's a lot of fine equipment out there. What works for you is what works for you. What works for me is Leica glass and controls. That's why I got a T, which may be my last camera system. The fact that I started on a used M2 50 years ago may account for my bias, but that's my business. I strayed over to a Canon 5D MarkII w/ a 24-70 zoom because I had a chance to work with a 1DS, and yes it's nice too but I gave it to my son (a film school graduate) because in my view it is way too complicated, unnecessarily so, bulky, the best of Canon's lenses aren't all that cheap, and so it doesn't work for me. Period.
This is extreme coolness!!! Nice work.
