Thanks for the review! "shooting at 12fps with the mechanical shutter only shows you a slideshow of the last image taken in the viewfinder". What about EFC?

" When shooting SD cards on the Sony A9, it seemed you could do your laundry and have a little time left for a snack while the buffer unloaded to the memory card. " 😂🤣😂 A typical Sony scenario - ...

A9 is about speed only, but not IQ. It always drops to 12-bit A/D conversion when in continuous AF (Servo in Canon terms), regardless of mech. or El. shutter. The R5 can shoot at 12 fps at 13 bit, ...

The "C" stands for "camera" - in order to help baffled people figure out what they are looking at.
-
At least the real photo machine behind the camera is better than the gear:) The shot is very good in terms of freezin' the moment, shutter speed choice, and of course having courage to shoot in ...

Thank you! This one's much better! Overcast day, plus too much LR sliders combo is usually the culprit. And if it was shot in 20fps, that's an additional impact on the DR. Great shot again!

This one's my favorite! You have good eyes! But the noise is too much for an ISO 800. My guess is the lens is too slow. How many stops did you bring up in post?
-
How was the buffer at mid/high iso's, and what cards did you use? Also, you've mentioned 4k 60 - is it H.265 only? What is your CPU? Thanks!

Your lens is supported. Is your battery new?

Check this topic out: https://www.dpreview.com/forums/post/64261886 And you'l see Sony is not the fastest card at all. And, again, the printed number on most cards is only the peak "up to" speed, ...
-
Those "tests" only show what people are lazy to do themselves on the websites like B&H or Adorama by just using filters. The important factor is the sustained maximum speed, not the printed peaks ...

Magnar, Everything you ask for is in the Studio Test Scene DPR have provided in this review. Just scroll up and and look at the samples.
-
Magnar, as I said, look at the studio test scene. Everything is there for you to see with your own eyes!
-
Magnar, you should update your eyesight. The proof of both is in the Studio Test Scene.

How come that the alleged low-light 24 mpx "flagship" is as noisy as Canon R5 which has twice the number of pixels? And may be even noisier, because there is an obvious smudging going on in the...

"I just disassembled the camera (Leica II) without any specific plan, but simply to take a look at each part. I found there were no special items like diamonds inside the camera. The parts were...

It seems like the Canon's Animal Eye AF is much, much better than the Sony's. If it refuses to lock on a big black eye on a big bright elephant, or a rhino, that's no good for me. P.S: YT Sony sell ...

If you're on Windows machine with an nVidia card, and you use Atomos to record 4kHQ, the 4:2:2 ProRes option, isn't GPU accelerated. Don't know about AMD though. Just FYI.

Thank you for the tests! That's way too far from the advertised 1480 mb/sec write speed for the Sony. I'd have expected to see something around ~1300 ish. Do you think the way cameras format cards ...
-
I agree, those numbers confuse and freak people out. If the camera sustains 12, or even 9fps with that amazing tracking AF, I'm sold! I'm not going to use any old lens and batteries either way, so ...
