  • A few from lunch the other day. eight spotted skimmer Striped Meadowhawk female (I believe) thanks for looking. c+c welcome.
  • Nice set of images Stew. I've never used extension tubes and have yet to master my 60mm macro.
  • Nice image Ken.  What aperture setting did you use. I've tried stacking spiders at various times but with mixed results. Most often because of a  breeze.
  • Beautiful images Phil. I've never seen St. Johns Wort and the fly is great.
  • Replied in From the past
Very nice shots. I like the water drops on the first. The butterfly is quite striking as well.
  • Replied in RED
I understand well. I'm not so steady either, and a miserable sweat is easily induced by attempting to hold still. As for the bloom, they look a villainous lot while the lone scout is less menacing.
  • Replied in Variety
Tough enough finding variety as singles never mind having two share the frame. Nice collection Brad. I'm in awe of the first few as butterflies and dragons rarely visit my yard and the butterflies ...
  • My appologies. Should have gone to bed.
  • Replied in Western Pondhawk
A Western Pondhawk at the lake at lunch. (e-m1 + 300 f.4).  Also, thanks Brad for the correction on my butterfly bush + bee shots last week. C+C welcome. Thanks for looking.

  • Lucky you SJ. Nice shots too. I'm on the west coast so this is likely the only way I'll see one. I like the third shot as it comes in to land.
  • Beautiful birds Peter. I'm envious on many levels: trip, equipment, scenery... The last ones remind me a bit of one of the hummingbirds I saw last week in Tucson -- about twice the size of the ...
  • A nice shot. I know I haven't achieved better.
  • Replied in Grace
Nice captue Richard. Never did get to fire an E-1.
  • Replied in road runner
A roadrunner at the Sweetwater Wetlands Park last week in Tucson. I was busy stalking dragonflies as there were no clear views of the water. I turned and this one popped out of the brush. Got two ...
  • Nice pair of images. Like the light and composition of the first but I suck shooting flowers so I find myself drawn more to them -- this one I like the color variations. thanks for sharing.
  • Beautiful images Phil. I can't seem to manage that much depth of field at even at f11 and up. What distance are you from subject (if you don't mind my asking) thanks for sharing. Most I've never ...
  • Replied in Working bee
Mark All four of your images are quite stunning. I'll say I like the plants most but that's because I had some shots of similar theme to the others - but they don't quite compare. :) thanks for ...
