If I needed strong performance for low light, good video capabilities, and excellent LCD for live view macro focusing etc, I'd strongly consider the Z6. If you really, really need to upgrade that is!

I recently also picked up a 40D in great conditions (25k actuations) for $60. At that price I couldn't resist. What a solid camera. So ergonomic and a pleasure to shoot with. It's my new street camera

Definitely, back then there were massive jumps in performance. Especially from 300D to 350D as 300D was really the first of the "cheap" consumer DSLRs!

People can't wait to offload these older Rebels on the used market. Picked one up for $30 and took it out for a spin around town... still a lot of fun if you keep expectations low!
