Call me stupid but I was brought up differently. Thankfully.

Terkwoiz: Sweet. Had been planning to buy the 2 for some time now so this is great timing.

Ditto, was just about to fire off an order. Brakes applied! I'll wait and see what's happening.

The power of marketing, right there. 1 dollar under and people see 1600 and not 17 ;)

trebledee: Op/tech Pro, bought them about 10 years ago, still going strong. Nothing fancy, just work. Nothing I've tried since has come close. Maybe if you're into posing with your kit, yes. Working, nope.

Sad to hear of clip failures. The only time I had one let go was my fault. I was talking to someone and fiddling with the strap, I bloody well squeezed it, didn't I! Prize muppet.
I'd be willing to stretch a neoprene strap around my head that the single tripod screw mounted straps have caused more damage than Op/tech clips failing.
Not to mention quick crouching for a shot and smacking the prism housing on the deck. (did that on the 2nd outing with a Black Rapid, which was sold on the next day)

Ruekon: Interesting to notice that the shown vacation samples hardly exploit f/2.8. This raises the question how much you would lose with the f/4 version and under which circumstances the reviewed f/2.8 lens would excel.

I'm actually surprised how much I'm using the F4 version when my F mount 24-70 hasn't really been used for a long time. Most certainly going to try out this lens too.

I think you could be right.
I've fallen onto that design trap too, bought a Peak Design Every day messenger bag and it's the most useless camera bag I own. It doesn't even stand up when you put it on the floor, tips forwards and ejects the kit. Based on that , I've swerved their straps.

Plus a nice shock absorber if you have to run with the camera on your shoulder.

Love how people comment on the looks of a lens.
Brilliant.
I'm loving the 85mm 1.4 and FTZ at the moment, very curious to try this one in the next couple of weeks.

It's a sad world when you read about the photographer who captured moments of a shooting before you even see or read about a shooting.

There are some serious oxygen thieves out there who are hell bent or hurting people. We're sort of used to all now, which isn't right.

Yay for Sony.
I'd better sell up my Nikon and move to Sony so mu clients don't all dump me.
Needless to say, I'll be doing a peer justification blog post on why I jumped brands too.

Or maybe I won't bother.

The S2Pro was the ergonomic brick of the family.
This one didn't just take the biscuit, it ate the whole packet.

Nice way to try scare their citizens. After all, scaring people is the best way to keep control of them. Of course, nothing out of the US is watching us. No, that'd be a breach of some amendment or other.
