I don't blame Leica, they are only taking advantage of those with more money than sense. The only person who will look the piece with it is Daniel Graig😂😂😂😂
I used to have the CL and the SL so when the SL2-S was announced it ticked many boxes, and then when I saw the price £3995 it went straight into the basket and checkout. I admit I love the prestige of Leica and the tech is not far behind. My sister has a Ford focus that locks the doors automatically when you walk away and all the gadgets you could wish for, but doesn't have the refinment of say a BMW. "For me" a Leica inspires me to take images, that said my iPhone is more advanced 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
I think Sony are about to launch a black and white TV for £7000 lol. Leica marketing geniuses or filling a market need? 🤔

Depends on intended use wheather the word "better" is applicable🤔
Too little - too late
Sony are all about electronics and don't care about style and ergonomics. They needed a refined camera but instead have used the shell of an old camera and tried to market it as new. No touch screen and old menu is just not good enough.

Lovely but I would have cloned out the rock, my eye keeps going to it and its competing with the tree but everyone's different. Very nice shot
No manual control for video in 2019????
To be honest before the advent of firmware, it was always the case that if you wanted the latest and greatest you had to wait and buy the next generation. So in a way we are lucky that a manufacturer adds any updates. Software companies like Adobe are horrendous and only add features for a very limited period os to push you to the next version. The only thing I think manufacturers should honour is an update to any bugs, anything else is just a bonus.
All the tech stuff is important but the Z6/7 will meet most people's needs, "good enough" is a term I like to use. Before the web we just looked at mags and the spec and went and bought it. Went out and used our craft to make good images. But now!
Most pros will not even think about these cameras and will continue with DSLR's they don't care about weight etc, it's all about top performance and the end result not the latest tech.
Pixel boy: Thanks for the very comprehensive review. My photography is about 75% Landscape/travel and 25% Wildlife/BIF. I am not a professional so critical results are not always necessary. Would the z7 AFC be good enough for casual BIF/Wildlife is is the keeper rate that bad?
Not quit, the 5D MKIV doesn't have an EVF, Image Stabilisation or 45MP !

I dream about getting a shot like this. I waited 6 hours in a hide last week and a pair appeared but they just up "in" the branches for about 20 mins then flew off !!!!
I will perceive but I can only hope for a snap of one, but your image has given me inspiration.

Weight still a problem and always will be until they replace glass with something else, I think these will feel unbalanced and it's starting to defet the purpose of mirrorless.
Never the less Sony continue to be innovative unlike Canon and Nikon
