Snapquacky's current gear
Owned since 2014, over 100k shots taken, focus isn't perfect but for DX the image quality and DR is pretty reasonable. Well built machine. Good value, I added the official grip.

Great fun to shoot with, lightweight, fast and sharp enough for my use. Can focus quite close, nice Bokeh. Made in Japan!
Great lens for portraits, sharp, superb in low light. Built like a tank and almost as heavy. Focus at 200mm on my D7000 is not reliable. Also Made in Japan!
Well it was the kit lens for my D70s, it's OK, distortion paradise but works in a pinch!
Upgraded from the older 300mm f4, this is sharper, faster and a bit lighter. Well built, slightly heavy. Lacks weather seal. Been well used for over 7 years now.
Great piece of kit on the 300mm f4, slight drop in sharpness and focus speed but not much.
Mixed feelings, on DX it does the job if you can fill the frame. Slows focus and softens the image. Prefer the TC-14.

Other gear:
- Nikon 300mm f/4 AF (1987-2000) Old version of the 300mm f4, what a beast, plastic, what plastic!? glorious thing but a bit slow to focus. Superb build quality.
- Nikon Speedlight SB-600 Doesn't get much use but works well when required.
