$800 over 5 to 8 years is not going to be a big deal (we change 3 iPhones in the same time!!). I would have happily paid this price if the lens weighed under 1 kg. For a mere 90 grams difference and with optical quality already quite good in ver. II, I don't see much value in getting the ver. III

The only way Nikon is going to make money now is from higher sales of the older versions!

It was a rainy day in Southern California and I'm not understanding the blotchy golden tone the Swedish "artist" decided to use. I had to redo the image and I think it looks much more natural.

If you did something from scratch, it would be commendable. Just taking an already completed work, nit picking and making minor corrections is not the same.
