This is just my subjective opinion, Erik, but I prefer the Adobe Portrait profiles over both the LumaRiver profiles here. And I prefer the P45+ as rendered by Adobe Portrait over the A7rII as ...

D800 with the Nikkor 24mm f/1.4G Reprocessing some of my D800 shots from ten years ago with so-called "state of the art" tools. Ultimately I never kept the D800. All three copies I tried had the ...

Interesting reaction. How about this one? fPrime

To those who argue that CCD and CMOS silicon is the same and that it makes no difference to the image, let this article stand as a testament to the reverse. CCD sensors do in fact have unique...

You obviously didn’t read that I already have a Leica with a 50/.95 and 35/1.2. Affordability isn’t a concern.

From a Q review: While the camera proudly reads “Leica Camera Wetzlar Germany” above the rear LCD, it does not clearly state “Made in Germany by Leica”, now does it? Nor does it say Leica Camera...

Agree. SNL hasn’t been funny for decades now and that’s independent of the age of the viewer. IMHO all sketch comedy has been eclipsed by the arrival of the Canadian comedy troupe the “Kids In The ...

Hi Erik, The image from the P45+ seems to have richer tonality to me. But the shirt and backdrop also have a magenta cast to them whereas the wood paneling is greener. Is there weak IR-cut ...

IMHO, dust accumulation on the Q and Q2 sensors puts these cameras firmly in the D-Lux category. https://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/4466070

I have a minty Leica M8 built in 2006 that is still shooting flawlessly in 2022. Trust me, I know Leica quaility.

Panasonic build quality at Leica prices… what’s not to like?

Hmm… what’s more interesting? Blowing up capacitors in slow mo or that GH6 vs OM-1 Q&A? Hard to choose! Both videos are so relevant and gripping. /s

Thanks. I see these horizontal artifacts now too on the DxO source DNG's provided by the OP. DxO's DeepPrime might not be the cause of the artifacts and jaggies... it might well be applied DxO ...

Hi, For my Bayer-sensor cameras I believe best practice is to pre-process RAW's via LR's Enhance Details followed by sending the resulting DNG's through DxO's PureRaw for noise reduction and ...

Did you not see the “or” conjunction above or did you just decide to willfully ignore it? fPrime

Agreed, Kerensky, and this is also why many find the Z lenses unaesthetic as well. Regardless of focal length they look like beer cans.

No bragging, just showing I have nothing against Voigtlander lenses. I do have something about bad aesthetics, however.

I have a Voigtlander 58mm f/1.4 that I use on my D700. Looks good. I also have a Voigtlander 35mm f/1.2 for my Leica M8. Looks great. These Voigtlander lenses with their wide bottoms, not so much.
