Just unacceptable! This is like a 600 and 800mm f11 lens on a Full Frame camera!

muljao: Do Nikon have any dx equivalent? Is there a third party equivalent?

There's not a current DX specific prime that would get you around 35mm, but there's plenty if options that cover FX that would easily work.

RecklessCoding: I really hope that these Vitrox/Tokina AF lenses not only help to "open the gates" to further third-party support for the X mount, but also force Fuji to finally update their older f/1.4 lenses. They are optically great, but they could use the AF motors and WR found in Fuji's f/2 line.

Sorry about all the typos. Phone life.

They won’t update them. It makes more sense to offer a new option that’s WR sealed and keep the other design. Now there are two NEW in box options to choose from rather than an older one that depreciates in price. Case in point 50mm f1,0. You’ll more than likely see a1,2 for the 35 range before you see a 35mm f1,4 mm, but who knows.

At least I won't need to turn on my heater for the winter--I'll just warm my hands next to my computer.

Not to be confused with Crop in post which is a completely different feature.

I don't see any on the Spec list.
A fixed lens camera like this in 2020 without a good Crop Mode wouldn't be fun.

@Gpagnon - You can on the X-T3 and it'll split your RAW into Three images that you can reapply the film simulation in post if you desire or just shoot one image and use the in-camera RAW converter to try different simulations on the fly. So perhaps on 100V.

The digital Tele-converter is a .JPEG designed function--like other brands-- Sony with their Clear image zoom and Panasonic with their Intelligent Zoom.

martindpr: The biggest concern is V's successor naming. Is it going to be VI or W?
Second, does the OVF cover larger frame than the actual EVF/sensor frame, as is with the Leica M/X-Pros?
Pics are amazing, this new lens is fabulous.
The price is a bit north but it has to settle at a lower price point.

I was pointed out the other day.. X 100 S T F V, good thing I have the mind of a child.

MacroDonata: "The most capable fixed lens compact camera, ever"?

I'm glad to see this camera and may buy it or the F, but I'd take the Q2 over either sight unseen if it weren't for the ginormous price difference.

You did choose to put the Q2 in your comparison table, so it appears that you consider it to be a contender in the group covered by your headline. Please don't tell me it was the little flash that makes this camera more capable than the Q2.

Ugh the horrors of SEO, I feel your pain.

No 4:3, Digital Zoom doesn't work in Movie Mode, Crop won't effect the RAW image just the JPEG still if RAW+JPEG, and I'm not a roll fan.. maybe a croissant.
