Works as a Retired Photographer
Joined on Oct 5, 2013
When digital came in to the professional world in the early Nineties, I did not care for it and left the business, and returned to school. I earned my BFA in photography, and then I got my MFA in photographic studies. I studied under Beaumont Newhall who wrote A History of Photography while I was at UNM. I taught non-silver processes of of 18th and 19th centuries. I very much enjoyed the academic world, and met some interesting people. For many years I worked with an 11x14 Deardorff view camera with interchangeable backs in 8x10, 5x7, and 4x5. Then the major manufactures stopped making the film and papers that I used for many years, and I used up my stores I had frozen. I got my first digital camera in January 2013, and I am still tryng to find out if I like it.
