  • On my X-T2 the flickering issue appears also when using the Rokinon 12mm/2. The cam can't move that iris diaphragm of this lens.
  • where is the flickering? When I half-press the shutter button in bright daylight, there is a very distractive flickering of about 10 Hz as long as I hold the button. Manual preview from "on" to ...
  • The camera is very capable for such a little guy...
firmware updates (now version 4.00) adressed some issues with AF and AF at low light.
One issue, however needs to be addressed: During outside...

  • I use Windows 7 on my PC and my Notebook. +++ After using Windows 10 for about 5 months on both devices, I removed that "system" / spyware +++
--> No problems related due to update to GIMP 2.10

  • now it's twelve years - a century in digital camera development! - and yet people are still using this! :)

  • Fuji fanboy after X-H1: Deep grip is a must :)

  • maybe there is a workaround for the missing exposure compensation dial? - Just learned: you can configure a dedicated button, then press it and use the rear dial to adjust! - seems feasable, no...

  • @ John: I definitely like the design of the X-E or the X-Pro. That's why I bought a used E-1 as cheap cam to try out the Fujifilm offerings. But on my X-T2 I would like a "real" grip and...

  • But the Canon EF 70-200/4 IS is not that expensive...? I had it, it's also very good when you have to come close to your object. And also, it's not big and it's not heavy.

  • But there is a Nikon / Canon version of a Tamron 28-75/2.8: http://www.tamron.eu/de/objektive/sp-af-28-75mm-f28-xr-di-ld-aspherical-if-macro/

  • uuh, ugly "weave pattern" in her hair!

  • @ Hauxon2 Agreed. So there are less blue and red pixel that would mean there is slightly lower color resolution where there is no green involved, e.g. skintones?
    For a detailed comparison see:...

  • I keep avoiding IBIS on my X-E1, too :)
no fun: my simple 16-50/f3.5-5.6 is good for 1/4s (16mm) or 1/8s (50mm) at 100% magnification

  • @ MrRowe8: I do own a simple 16-50 f3.5-5.6 with the X-E1, besides my 35mm/1.4 and a Yongnuo 12mmf2.
I can very well recommend this simple lens as a go-to lens, considering how sharp is it and,...

  • @otto k: Thanks Otto, you're probably right.

  • @PorscheDoc: Reason why Fuji IBIS cannot be transferred into high-resolution pixel-shift mode is simply:
+++ Fuji did not implement the Bayer pattern! +++
Using a Bayer pattern, pixel shift is...

  • Sony AF (A9, A7Riii, A7iii) is better. Just compare in dark situations. If there is a lot of light, every camera has a good AF.

  • in fact, if you compare body + 16-55 + 50-140,
you will have to lug more mass than on Fuji A7Riii + 24-70 + 70-200 (both lenses f4, which is the equivalent)!!!
in fact, you could compare X-T2 /...

  • I don't have to, but it's a great plus :)

  • I am a Fuji user (X-E1, 12mm, Kitlens, 35mm/1.4) and want to upgrade. Now I keep thinking! - But every advance in technology is good for us camera freaks :)
