Do you have a limit ?

a) Portraits
You really can use just about anything. A good prime is cheaper than a good zoom ( The 17-55 f2.8 is about $1000 ) You could get a couple of primes for that much. A good article here http://www.michaelthemaven.com/?postID=1692&best-portrait-lenses-for-aps-c-1-6-crop-canon-body . On a budget the 50mm f1.8 for about $100 is great value.

b) Landscape
It depends how wide you want to go. Normally landscapes a taken at apertures greater than f/8 so a fast lens isn't really essential. I use the Canon 10-22mm. Sigma, Tamron & Tokina all offer wide variants. I used my 18-55 kit lens for about 18 months for all of my landscape shots.

c) Motorsports
How far from the action will you be. You would want something that would be at least 300mm. Why don't you take your 75-300 out to the track and do some experimenting with it. See what it doesnt do for you then start asking questions.
The 3 lenses mentioned in the other post below would run you over $10,000
