Same situation as the Tamron

Other gear:
  • Minolta AF70-210mm F4 "Beercan" Oh, the beercan! Also stolen. That's one good lens which I've missed a lot! Perhaps I'll buy one someday, if I get to keep my Sony gear.

Even though it's not a fast lens, I've always been blown away by its image quality, even wide open on tele end!

It's a Zeiss. It's the best 24-70mm F2.8 out there. What else can I say?

neo_nights' previous gear

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ30
Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P10
Sony DT 18-70mm F3.5-5.6
Had to sell to pay for the A100. Do I miss that camera...
This camera still works, but I've given it to my mom.
By it's time it was said to "be the best kit lens around". But I've never felt it did justice to the sensor in the A100. Also very soft for my tastes. I do like the range, though. Sony should've improved this lens instead of ditching it forever.
Sony 75-300mm F4.5-5.6
Bought it with the A100. I've never liked it too much. Very soft for my taste and long minimal focal length. I don't recommend this lens even for beginners. Sold it!
