FINEART4YPvK: Great shot, wasp in full flight, amazing. Congratulations. Paul.
Thank you very much for the kind words.
John Sully: BTW, his first name is Ernst not Edward.
Ernest, not Ernst.
wam7: Very nicely done RafaelD7, a well executed idea, definitely not deserving of three 0.5*'s.
Thank you very much for the kind words. I'm not sure why it got those low scores, but it doesn't make any difference to me.
cjf2: This is by far the best entry in this challenge. Unfortunately I let you down and did not vote. I could not face all those pet pictures.
It fits the theme perfectly and the composition and processing are well thought out and executed.
I think the voters here prefer something more straight out of the camera and don’t like boarders so this may have prevented this reaching first place.
Well done.
Thank you very much for the kind words, I really appreciate them. I understand why some photos don't get many votes, even when they are good. It doesn't bother me. I rarely enter contests and when I do it's not because I need validation or because I think my photo is better than others. It often is out of curiosity to see what other people like or dislike about my photos, but usually I come out empty-handed because very few people bother to comment. In any event, I would not change my style just to please more people, as I make photographs just to please myself. Thanks again for taking the time to write a comment!
stan_pustylnik: I love it! Congratulations.
Thank you very much!
Sue Anne Rush: An excellent perspective of the fountain pens.
Thank you kindly.
Flowchart: Cool photo
Thank you!
jose garcia: Nice, photo. Love the Montblanc 149 with the two tone nib and the vintage Esterbrook!
Jose Garcia
Thank you Jose! I've loved and used fountain pens since I was in 5th grade...
Thank you all for your votes and for the kind words.
MicahSYL: Nice work with a really great sense of humor. I see you even layered the water pipe with the waterfall. Just guessing.
Thanks! And, good guess. The water pipe and spigot are on a separate layer.
Albert Valentino: This makes me wonder about the true source of the Nile 😉
Oh, there's an idea worth pursuing...wink wink!
APenza: That photo made me smile. Good job.
I am very glad to hear this, That was the intent!
MannyZero: "The park is in New Jersey (Buttermilk Falls). The water pipe and faucet are in Fischer's Park, Pennsylvania."...
Now that explains why, when I went to visit Fischer's Park the water pipe and the faucet weren't there... "They were lent to this Avilés fellow to make a prop to enter some contest.. Vino con toda la familia" They said.
Felicitaciones, viejo!!
Muchas gracias, señor! I will put it back soon!
Austinian: Nicely done! Next step would be to add the Jolly Green Giant reaching down to turn off the falls. :-)
Good idea!
MicahSYL: Is this park in Japan? Really a great and interesting piece of work.
Thank you for the kind words. The park is in New Jersey (Buttermilk Falls). The water pipe and faucet are in Fischer's Park, Pennsylvania.
Buzz Lightyear: Wonderfully creepy!
Thank you!
Wildbegonia: I like this.
Thank you!
