What a paradox, as phones start to utilise mechanical aperture, those lenses lose that ability.

Sony hopefully stands on its words "everything is new", as customers expect, mainly essential things like menu, touch interface, screen, and viewfinder quality should be addressed.

If Canon wants kept EF system alive for another while, mark IV teleconverters are welcome, as III produce junk results, even combined with best telephoto primes.

Related to that telephoto zoom lens, hard to decide between sympathetic/pathetic.

Nice to see another hyperwide lens without that awful curve look, which thanks to gopro and its cheap counterparts nobody want to see anymore.

On article Fujifilm's GF 30mm F3.5 R WR lens to ship in late July (89 comments in total)

Also excellent FE 24mm F1.4 GM cost $1,398.00, this GIF 30mm F3.5 R WR $1699.95, advantage of larger sensor is at least highly questionable there.

This could be the year for the real things, global situation wants otherwise. Pushing innovation is certainly the right way how to deal with it.

On article Canon EF-M 11-22mm F4-5.6 IS STM sample gallery (170 comments in total)

Cameras on smartphones now offer much wider coverage. optically good prime around 7.5mm would be nice alternative to these for enthusiasts.

Excellent achievement for enthusiastic project, bit less saturation would be suitable, sky is green as aurora borealis on some shots.

photoMEETING: They really should use a better sensor (better DR, better high ISO performance).

You really should be their adviser, Mr. Chief Engineer.

So refreshing to seeing here a windmill Kunkovice, village only 55 miles from my home. I even have a similar photo in my dpreview gallery.

I often using my CPL as ND, it's usually strong enough for avoiding diffraction during panning photography on cloudy days.

Slick looking device, for purest, who don't succumb to ease of smartphone yet, fixed screen it's a huge bummer though.

This gallery can be use as pure example of "smartphone look", that other recent flagships rid of to some extent.

Thumbs up for not having any notch, hole, cape, or any other nonsense on the screen, more phones without these, better.

GinoSVK: Kudos to Pentax, certainly a pinnacle of optical viewfinder on APS-C,
must be a joy look into, at least for some /not so many/, who gives them a chance.

Pentax should be slightly bigger, only for really small margin though. (0.03x)
