Thanks Erik, thats explained it better than I can. with a small f2 prime attached you can also minimise the parallax effect by using a rotating tripod plate too, for much less money than a pano ...

Which part of 'I prefer' are you misunderstanding, or are we not allowed to state our PERSONAL preference here? why are you trying to put words in my mouth that I have never uttered? Why would you ...
-
Ah ok thanks for confirming. I never get these kind of weird comparisons of lenses that don't fit on either system being tested, especially ones of differing focal lengths. Fair enough if the ...

Im confused by this comment, which Tamron lens are we talking about here? do they do a 50-140?
-
Yeah those are definitely decent results, i like the 1.4TC. nice to see you getting some BIF with it too. these are a few ive taken with the 70-300, mixture of both on its own and TC, im hugely ...

Forgive my ignorance here but how can we be so sure of this when the former hasn't even been released yet? Such a definitive statement you have made.
-
I wouldn't want to go past the 1.4TC (which is excellent) personally, but i can see the issues with paying £2000 for a lens so it's definitely worth consideration.

Id go for the X-T3 and 16-80 personally, then you have the classic 24mm equivalent at the wide end and plenty of opportunity for shallow DOF at 80mm and f4, the lens is stabilised so no IBIS is ...

Both about equal id say. Which is not much at all lately :(

I’m enjoying the sentiment behind your thread, shame it was hijacked and turned into a pixel discussion. Just given you a follow on Flickr too.

The focus point would be useful too, quite a lot of the shots the bottom right hand corner is significantly closer to the camera than the centre and other areas which could lead to sharpness ...

Poor attempt, must try harder, 2/10

Victorian transport method from before the combustion engine was invented vs modern digital camera sensor from 7yrs ago, fantastic comparison, well done.
-
That’s fair enough, just be prepared for people not to completely take your word for it on the validity of the images. It’s far easier to just present the evidence up front and then people can ...

Oh believe me I’m fully aware that my situation could be far worse, I’m just pointing out that having to wait a year for a car (that’s kind of luxury but still a factory production line vehicle...

Great camera, go out and enjoy it is my advice:) Hard to say what settings I use most but there are endless configs to choose from.

I can think of a good few lenses in the Fuji system that could do with upgrades before this.

My partner has one, I really need to borrow it from her and start using it, always lovely shots.

You could post the photos directly into the forum with EXIF data included, that way people can judge for themselves what settings have been used and if it is a factor or not.
