MAC: for $699 during 4th of July Holiday I got the T7i. The 21-27 raw buffer vs 6, and the 45 point focus versus 7, worth $150 more. I've owned 10 dslr's since my first $2K d30 15 years ago. T7i is my favorite fun camera and a Blast to shoot!

I have owned probably over a dozen DSLRs and the SL2 is my favorite one yet. It's all about the size. Awesome live view too...I rarely use viewfinder any longer unless I need it like on real sunny days.

I doubt enthusiasts and those who want manual control are really the target for this camera.

Todd3608: I would buy the G16 myself. It is a VERY underrated camera. I could go on and on but this one is a sleeper if you ask me.

I have tried the larger sensor compacts like the RX100 and like the G16 better. A camera is much more than just a sensor.

How many consumers actually want 4K quality. I am the geek in our family and have zero desire for 4K. 1080P is good enough for me.

pdqgp: 1GB RAM? Why so little? No thanks.

This is not true. the G3 has 2 GB RAM on the 16GB model and 3 GB RAM on the 32GB model.

My favorite camera of all time...The RX10 that is...I am tired of changing lenses and just want solid pictures and video for my family. The RX10 allows me to do that without worrying about changing lenses. I have sold all my DSLR gear and have no regrets.

Entropius: I really can't see why someone would buy one of these over an E-M5, which is a sure-enough awesome device.

The E-P5 also has a MUCH better LCD, faster FPS and better battery life.
