As someone who works in a photo archive I was staggered at the kind of storage used, the way the photos were handled and the casual way they were put on a scanner. They need educating in how a real archivist would do it. The potential is enormous but the methodology is abysmal.

I would advise against these. I bought an earlier version. It didn't work and Western Digital refused to honour the warranty. It was purchased from the Western Digital Stand at the NEC Photo Show in the UK but somehow my purchase was made in the Philippines. Sharp practise. This plus it not working has ensured I will never purchase anything from WD again. AVOID!

Surely the pricing is wrong? Can someone from Canon comment. I won't be buying one at the rip-off British price. I see as well I'm not the only one having an issue with the pricing.
