These were with my 300 PF. Not great but a clear difference! . These were just quick shots on auto mode & unedited. I haven't gotten into editing pics yet. Want to learn to take pics first.

Mark, I believe that was the problem. The iris was closing very slowly and sometimes not all the way. I believe the tab was rubbing  I forced the tab to the side a little bit and it now snaps ...
