There's a similar app for Android called Fotomate.

I'd say that "the problem" is that we as a society have scores of other problems that are infinitely more urgent than "political correctness" (aka "being a decent human being"), but "political correctness" is enjoying one of its periodic turns in the spotlight, employed by certain individuals who want to divert us from the fact that they're picking our pockets, spoiling our natural resources, and generally making the world safe for billionaires. Hopefully this too shall pass.

Seems like in the last couple of years there has been a sharp increase in the number of people who will jump at any excuse to start screaming about "political correctness"... Anyway, for an explanation of why DPReview chose to write "h*ck," which can also be found in many other places in these comments, read http://www.npr.org/sections/alltechconsidered/2017/04/23/524514526/dogs-are-doggos-an-internet-language-built-around-love-for-the-puppers.

(I suspect DPReview gave their readers too much credit...)

Cute photos! And those who are quick to start yelling about censorship and "political correctness" with regard to "h*ck" should read this: http://www.npr.org/sections/alltechconsidered/2017/04/23/524514526/dogs-are-doggos-an-internet-language-built-around-love-for-the-puppers

[Four hours later] I thought so...

And if we had 321.4 million counties each consisting of one person, Clinton would have won decisively.

By the way, we here in New York have known the interim president longer than most of the rest of the country, and he got clobbered here. Significant, perhaps?...

stratplaya: I hope DP isn't aspiring to become a type of Huffington Post with some photography stuff thrown in.

I, and I'm sure many others, would appreciate coverage on photography without a political angle.

Is simply mentioning the name of the president of the United States now "political"?

"electionlawcenter.com"? I prefer more reliable, vetted sources:

"DPreview censor those who do not agree with them..."

Examples, please?

Got any proof about those "illegal voters"?

The photos don't make Trump voters look bad. Trump voters make Trump voters look bad.

sgt gatr: Seems like just another article trying to paint anyone who dared to vote for Trump is a backwards redneck or white trash racist. The marginalization of Trump supporters is staggering and shows how out of touch far left liberals really are.

I have no interest in trying to engage Trump voters. By and large, they're hopeless. My goal is to try to help people who are currently disillusioned with the electoral process, or apathetic, to recognize that it's important for them to take an active role in their government, by at least voting.

David Franklin: It's hard to know where to start in reacting to this "photo essay." I've been a fairly active member of this forum for 15 years. At first, the content here was almost exclusively about gear and the technical aspects of digital imaging, with an occasional foray into examining some great photo work.

With the changes occurring in media in the last 10 years or so, I imagine that it was inevitable that politics would eventually begin to seep into this aspect of the culture, as it has in almost every other one. After all, almost the entire media, as with the Democrat party, academia, most of the very largest corporations, their tech billionaire fellows, and popular entertainment, are fully bathed in left wing ideology, some really believing it, others merely mouthing the platitudes they think will absolve them from guilt and judgment by others for having lived so well. (continued next post)

David: Repeat after me: It's the DEMOCRATIC Party. DEMOCRATIC. Not "DEMOCRAT." "DEMOCRAT" is a noun, not an adjective. I know you're just trying to be annoying, but you succeed only in sounding stupid. I will give the rest of your post exactly as much attention as it deserves, which is none.

Yes, we (Democrats) did win the popular vote. So...how did you like the photos?

JackM: Excellent photos. Ach delivered the goods. Honestly though, I find it a little odd that Prince would drag his whole band in to admire a photo of just himself.

It doesn't surprise me a bit.

jjmiphoto: This is too much iOS love, you left out Paper Camera, an awesome Android app that makes lots of awesome looking images.

I, in turn, missed the part where jjmiphoto implied that this was a complete roundup, rather than simply suggesting that your overview should contain more of a balance between apps for iOS and those for other operating systems.
