Hi Mario, thank you for your understanding. Is it possible those similar entries were submitted after I did the last round of disqualifications?

Bren

Well done in your fourth place in this challenge. However, the person who won the challenge won by dishonest means and has since been disqualified therefore you should be third.

Bren Dyer: Please remember, a portrait is normally an image where there is a distinct connection between the subject and the camera. A candid shot is NOT a portrait

I am out of town and will do more weeding once home.

In reply to:

Buzz Lightyear: Interesting . . . out of 22 entries, only 3 are actually 1932 "Deuce" coupes.

I noticed that....and since I put no restrictions in rules felt I could not DQ. I was very disappointed with the entries...

sagge: Oh, what a stunning scene with all those elements part of it, also creating a very nice depth of view! Congratulations to a winning photo!

Thank you very much, it was a magical evening when I captured that image. If memory serves me right it was a night I was going to the Wanaka Camera Club, and I was a bit early so decided to go to the Wanaka tree for the sunset...well worth the effort

RuthC: Congratulations, Bren Dyer, on your well-deserved win in this 'Shades of Violet or Mauve in Nature' challenge, with your newest rendition of the Famous Tree in twilight. Your colour palette is really beautiful, in its varied shades of warm mauve, lavender, and deeper violet. This is such a peaceful image, and one you must be very proud of.
RuthC :-)

Thank you once again Ruth
