Took me a while to fall in love. Super sharp lens, a bit of vignetting though. Easy to carry, good ergonomics if your use it as intended. Snap focus is great because AF is mediocre. But the images are great...it is unobtrusive. Perfect little carry everywhere camera. It's expensive for a reason. Despite the Sony Rx100s being technically better with more features and zoom...the Ricoh works just way better.
What fun. Nikon cameras are and ergonomic nightmare. Back then I used a Canon EOS 20D which was just so logical and clear to use. Nevertheless it is a joy to bring this one out (on a bright day though...or grab a tripod) and it is fun to use a DSLR and not see the world through a display. Also the CCD sensor has a certain color reproduction...can't put my finger on it. Works really well for soft portraits.
Nikon AF Nikkor 50mm f/1.4D
Nikon AF-S Nikkor 35mm F1.8G ED
Tokina AT-X Pro 12-24mm f/4 (IF) DX
This lens is excellent and despite being a cheap lens very well built. I love it on my D80. Perfect street and documentary lens for the DSLR. Cheap on Ebay as well.
