  • Replied in GXR system
I am using the GXR with different modules (28, 50, P10 and M) since more than 5 years as my main and most favorite camera (primarily the M-module). Meanwhile I have a complete second set (body, ...
  • I have both the Voigtländer 75/2.5 and the Leitz Elmarit 90/2.8 and indeed they are highly recommendable lenses for the use on with the GXR-M. A very interesting feature of the Elmarit is the ...
  • You are not alone! I see it exactly like you hence I have two complete sets of the GXR-M (body/module/viewfinder) besides some other modules (28/50/P10) and the external flash as well.
  • That's a very useful set. Actually you can use any of them or even all together. It always depends how close you want to come. Yesterday I've tested my Komura M39 RF-teleconverter together with the ...
  • Make sure to get the right LTM/Zorki version as there is also a M39/Zenit SLR version and a Contax/Kiev mount version available of this lens. For the Zenit version you would need additionally a ...
  • Well, I'm using different formats in parallel (MFT/APS-C/FF). The A850 is my only FF camera and I'm still very satisfied with it for the usage of a large set of Minolta AF prime lenses and the ...
  • That's a great compliment. Thank you! BTW, normally I use manual RF-lenses on my Ricoh GXR-M for excursions. But for such targets like birds in flight the A850 is by far the better choice. ;-)

  • That's certainly a good plan. Actually that's the only Voigtländer LTM lens I don't have. I went for the Leitz Elmarit 90/2.8 instead which is very nice as well.... Today I've taken my CV 75/2.5 ...
  • Sorry, but I can't really answer your question as I hardly do any direct flash pictures of people. I prefer indirect flash in this case hence I've never noticed "lazy eye" effects so far.
  • As I hardly use my small sensor units nowadays I can't say much about them. However, I don't see any reason why the flash should work differently on the various sensor units and there is nothing ...
  • Congratulations! Have fun with your new set.
  • That's interesting. Even if customs would act (what they normally don't do for such low priced items) the import tax/manipulation would be 27 Euro in Austria. So in total in worst case the flash ...
  • Go for the GF-1 as there is definitely no better option available. It's available brand new for only USD 75 / Euro 67 (plus shipping) here: ...

  • Indeed, the GXR + 28 module is still a great camera and my preferred typical holiday setup. Additionally the VF-2 can be used which is definitely a big advantage over the GR.
  • That's a wise decision. It's most probably the best lens in that price range. Regards, Thomas
  • When buying such old gear a trustworthy vendor is very important. I've therefore bought my old Leitz lenses mostly at the Leicashop.com or comparable vendors. That's maybe not the cheapest option ...
  • As already stated in an earlier post, the M39 versions offer more flexibility and in the end you can always add a cheap M-adapter and leave it on the lens. But there is no way to do it the other ...
  • In 50mm I own several different RF lenses but not the Zeiss one. I've bought all of them second hand much below the price of the ZM lens. I have an old Leitz Summicron F2, a Voigtländer Nokton F1.5 ...
