Excellent shot Sorbz62! Love the contrast between the golden dome and the perfect sky π

Some excellent contributions already! Here's my contribution to the snowy theme: Colourful Newfoundland "Salt Box" house in the snow.

Thank you both Rodger and Victor for your replies; very interesting. I did know about these sorts of things back in the day, but I've forgotten so much over the years.

Definitely, if it's within warranty, I'd take it back.

I'm wondering whether it could be sun damage? Have you left it pointing into the sun for any length of time?

I have the 200-600, and it's an excellent lens. Drawbacks: (1) Size, it's big 31.8cm, and it's an internal zoom, which means it doesn't get any smaller when you put it away.

Excellent work Rodger! Not sure why, but in my head I was expecting the meteor trails to be going the other way? I.e. Flip the background horizontally? Is there a correct direction based on the ...

Nice shots Bill, my favourite is #3 - looks like you found the Holy Grail with that one π I don't suppose you found The Shrubbery? π

Here's an entirely PS/ACR version: ACR AI NR, attempted fixes to geometry, brightness, etc. Cloned out the dust spots DxO PL7 version, much quicker and easier.

Really sorry to hear that happened. I did something similar myself once, fortunately I noticed that the shutter speed was insane, and realised early, but it's all too easily done. Here's a quick ...
