Rubik3x: Does the operator still have to check in with China before flying? That alone pushed me to the Autel EVO II Pro. No regrets.
It's not the place where parts are manufactured that bothered me. It's that DJI requires their pilots to log into a Chinese web page in order to fly. Besides, Autel Robotics is the controlling company and they are based in the US (Bothell WA). Many US companies source Chinese parts.

ldfrmc: Does the drone have a camera on board?
Yes, I see it pointed away from the car, as though the car ran into the back of the drone.
Several things guided me towards purchasing the Autel EVO II Pro:
1. I don't have to check in with a Chinese company before I fly.
2. The image quality is top notch. Comparisons with the MA2 and M2P show the E2P has a clear advantage, especially in low light.
3. US supplier and customer support.
4. Lots of pro camera control settings. I like the LOG profile, Manual Exposure, and ability to adjust sharpness, contrast and saturation in-camera.
5. Ability to calm down the flight control responses with Precision Mode.
I agree that the controller is a bit of a let-down but it all works well enough. I would love to see a new controller with larger built-in screen.
