Good balanced camera. it is only for a photography. For home video and multiple purpose, still like sony nex series but only for snap and best 28mm is this one. APS-C type sensor is huge upgrade from a former gr serieses absolutely. Thank you GR! You are the winner of crop sensor-pocketable size cameras. :)

On article Pentax announces Q7 with larger 12MP BSI CMOS sensor (229 comments in total)

Please take 'SR' Logo off :D. Small 1.7 sensor is brilliant idea but Pentax should make it much smaller than this. If not. please use bigger sensor. I like Ricoh GR series and Pentax K-5 Series but not sure about this Q series so far. Idea itself is not bad but I still felt something missing... :(

Remind me kodak's digital camera that attached with 2 different type of lens on front. I liked that kodak's concept. :)

On article Leica announces X Vario zoom compact with APS-C sensor (757 comments in total)

I am still like a 50mm (FF Standard) fixed focal length instead of dark zoom lens. :(
NEX-6 with 35mm F1.8 would be best choice for me so far. disappointed with this news from Leica at this point.

Not good another big company's movement. If there is same mount as EF-S, this will be much better but EF-M and Adapter system? They are thinking people will buy this camera to use their many EF lenses with adapter. My personal concern is...
1. New Mount EF-M, 22mm f2 and 18-55 bundle are only supported lenses for this body without adapter. I know adapter system has lots of issue so far.
2. Point and shoot looking mirrorless camera? Love om-d or nex7.
3. Overall, There is no reason to change current my micro 3/4 or nex ones.

so what is my next p&s camera... RX100 is enough large sensor (1 inch), CZ T* Coated lens I know it is licensed lens but I am pretty satisfied with my 24mm CZ lens (Sony's) and menu design is outstanding and operation speed will be way faster than other ones. Finally deeply trusted sony's build quality. At this point, RX100 is best p&s. I am still using ricoh's gr series but willing to buy this one. :D

This camera is very special. Honestly I had used couple of p&s cameras because dslr is sometimes too heavy for casual uses. This is my p&s cameras.. X10, X100, Leica X1, and olympus, panasonic's ones, Canon S95, S100, Sigma DP2s etc.. Actually IQ is depends on its Image sensor size at least digital camera era.. That is true. Next Lens is very important element. To me my last 5 years, best p&s camera was Sigma dp2s. I don't care of its ugly design, heavy weight. IQ is just outstanding. Leica X1 is good but $2000 value? My answer is no. Leica X1 is just another panasonic's mirrorless lineup to me. Especially X1, X10, X100, dp2x is super slow cameras. With SDHC or XC memory card will help to improve writing speed but.. still way too slow. I am one of retro design fan so I just pre-ordered Fuji's X series but build quality is quiet poor(F) and User Interface design is not friendly(B).

white hole? retro style? honestly I liked fuji's neo-classic design but controlling is really tough and IQ is not as expected. I think ricoh's GR series will be best camera in class.

Personally, For the balance, pancake lens is only good for mobility. I used a Pentax 40mm pancake lens before and I just noticed that is too thin... Even for one-hand shooter, most of mirrorless camera's body is very compact so hard to handle by one hand. :D
