Valentino 67: Tried to download the update. it is not recognized by GR III. Did DP Review tried this first before advertising the update? Here are the steps: http://www.ricoh-imaging.co.jp/english/support/digital/gr3_s.html

Yes. I tried the .zip and unzipped (.bin) files - neither works. From the menu Firmware info/Options there is nothing I can do...

Valentino 67: Advertising? There is a lot of pain and horror portrayed in some of the images. "And if the colorized photos aren't enough, the book's remaining 73 pages are filled will "informational gems" and narrative,..". What is your opinion, DP Review? It is clearly advertising for a book and quite insensitive. "Adding color breathes life" to death and destruction? It is the "Vietnam Monk" or the "Napalm Girl" more "alive" to you in color? Of course you don't care. It is the revenue you care, the engagement level of the audience, but at least you need some decency, or to delimit yourself from controversial topics.

I was referring to advertising as "Advertising" the book on DPReview as oppose to just being an impartial news to the launch of a new book: "...is a photo book released in September that any photo lover would be proud to own and display..." and so on.

My photo was DQed, too. I would appreciate a warning before the photo being taken down. I don't follow dpreview daily, so I missed the voting. I am not sure if it is a good thing to vote in the same challenge we entered. Thank you anyway.
