Will you please clarify the question , I had raised.

Hi,
No cutting and pasting is unacceptable. Follow the recipe given in the link I've provided, it is very different than cut and paste.

Jim Evidon: My challenge image of Rustic Cottage in Iceland was DQ';d for not including information about the HDR used. I was invited to respond with the required information. I attempted to do so by clicking on the challenge administrator's link provided and was told that I am not authorized. Since the challenge is now closed I cannot access the challenge to add the information.

For general information this is the response I intended to make supplying the requested information.

Re.: Rustic-HDR Challenge
The challenge link is no longer open for access. I am unable to comply with your request. But for your information, I used HDR Efex Pro II and applied minimal HDR manipulation in as much as I believe that excessive use of HDR manipulation would have spoiled the image.

You may re-enter this image as my entrant with this information, or don't as you please, in as much as I am not able to access this challenge, it being posted as full 100 out of 100.

Sincerely,

Send me the HDR info and I'll see what I can do about it.

ShKen: Hi all, I see that there is a vibrant debate regarding this theme definition. I do encourage people to look in various on-line dictionary in order to come up with a personal artistic interpretation of the term rustic. I also encourage voters to consider not only the technical and aesthetic aspects of the entry but also the interpretation suggested by the photographer. I'm going to DQ photos which are clearly cannot accepted as rustic.

Hi,
You got it almost right, I did increase the number of entries but I also DQ more than 20 entries. In most cases disqualification is due to lack of detail regarding the HDR process. As stated earlier I leave it to the voter to make the artistic judgments – one of them should be how good the entry relates to the challenge theme. Good luck.

In reply to:

Gerry Frederick: My photo entry "Here it comes" was DQed because it was stated that it was taken in my back yard and not a true Street photo. FYI was taken on a public beach with hundreds of people around like most other beaches. Without a doubt as street as it gets. Bad call

Garry, I just quoted the challenge theme ..."decisive moments captured in the STREET. NOT in the nature or in your backyard. This challenge is for street photographers."...
Affirmatively speaking, I wanted to see pictures taken in the street. Backyard and nature scenes are only examples for places I do not consider as street. I was very clear that this challenge is about STREET photography. I don't consider the scene shown in your (good) photo as a street rather more like nature.

This entry was DQ by me as I didn't think it is in line with the challenge theme. The challenger contacted me and argued that: ..."The B&W one was NOT B&W if you look at the green leafs in the large photo. It was spring trees with leaves. I live in XXX USA and we have sunsets like the Golden Light Ocean Kayak all the time. My web site is www.GoldenOneImages.com because of the golden light."...
So... it is back on the race, let the voter have their say.

Thanks, I was also surprised to see the phosphorescence for an hour. Perhaps it picked some light from the room, which was dim but not completely dark
