maybe pair a sony 20mm G with a tamron 28-75mm G2 or sigma 28-70 F2.8 contemporary or Sigma 16-28mm and a sigma 28-70mm f2.8 or tamron 17-28mm and a 28-75mm G2 F2.8 or Sony 20mm G and a sigma ...

I find the images coming out of this lens to be sharp but FLAT

no, that would make the clothing pop out...try again

Very true, but adding it would go against the minimalistic design philosophy of the A7C.

I am having a dilemma. I cant decide whether to sell my zony 24-70 f4 and tamron 70-300 and buy a used copy of the sony 24-105 or buy a new sigma 28-70mm instead. I briefly owned a canon 24-105 L ...

the yellow in the background stands out more than the subject. try to mute\dull the yellow in the background a bit.

The 2.8s are not necessarily heavier, the tamron 28-75 and the sigma 28-70 are both significantly lighter. Also the 2.8 zooms tend to be sharper than equivalent f4 zooms.

I have the 40g and compared to the 45mm samyang, the Sony is smaller, has better ergonomics, better af and is a slightly more versatile focal length imo. I personally don’t like the rendering of ...

What doesn’t follow? I am talking about an 85mm 1.8 and you are talking about a 90mm 2.5. If Sony could have made the 85mm .8 smaller they would have, you aren’t making any sense.
-
Not sure how to interpret your charts but what is it stating about the zony 24-70 f4?
-
I will take the sigma 28-70 over this as I prefer having a more compact lens and there isn’t that significant of a difference in terms of image quality. I also prefer the overall rendering and oof ...

Great photo. Be careful though, there are snobs on here who will tell you that its not a great photo because you used some unknown 3rd party brand instead of a 50mm 1.2 GM.

An interesting comment from that article: ChristianC1975 Arun H nailed the topic- and there is one more point. Usually, not all the area of the sensor is photosites- some of it is covered by ...

If you put good glass on both then you will notice slightly crisper images out of the a7iv.
