  • Thanks for that suggestion! That's an interesting test I'd like to try. I'll need to dig through my 90's accessory drawer and find my laser pointer LOL!
  • Is there any way to test to see if shake reduction is working in the GR III or IIIx?
  • Yep! Not crazy!
  • According to the manual page 90: When Self-timer is set in Drive Mode, Shake Reduction is automatically set to Off. To fix the setting to On, set Auto SR Off to Disable Auto SR Off in the 7 menu.
  • I started with Samuel's video here .
  • Seems strange. AF is fast on both my III and IIIx. Do you have a chance to test a GRIIIx at a shop to compare?
  • I lost mine after the first week of ownership and replaced it. If you look closely, there seems to be a very small Philips-head screw that I may control the tension of the ring. I haven't fiddled ...
  • Yes! I love having both, and take both with me each time I go out. I find that even though both cameras are similar, I use each one differently. I think I need a lot more practice with the IIIx to ...
  • I'm just glad I didn't have to send it in for repair. Shipping plus the out-of-warranty repair would have been a lot of waster $$$. I figured since it was already out of warranty, why not give it ...
  • I believe the issue is that the contacts in the wheel oxidize over time. Not sure why it does this. Maybe the component is exposed to air and not resistant to oxidization. I wrote up a guide on ...
  • Is your issue with the camera an actual wobbly wheel or does the menu jump around when using the wheel? They're two separate issues.
  • I still see it in my menu. GRIIIx firmware 1.10.
  • The last time I traveled, I had a Panasonic LX100ii (24-75mm), Panasonic DC-ZS70 (24–720 mm) and my iPhone 11. I also purchased a Ricoh GRiii during that trip, and ended up using it more than the ...
  • I agree that It gets tiring seeing this question asked. I don't think there is a fool proof way of making sure that dust never gets onto the sensor, no matter how careful you are. I've read so ...
  • Glad they worked for you! I really like them! I replaced my JCC screen protector on my GRiii with this after trying one on the GRiii x. Really easy to install.
  • I picked up this and they work well. Came with 3 of them. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07Q27DT8B/
  • If it's anything like the JCC one for the Panasonic LX-100mkII, then I don't think it will be an issue with wear on the lens housing. The protective leaves are not that heavy nor do they have ...
  • Thanks for sharing that! For the most part, this issue isn't really too frequent, but it does happen from time to time. Knowing that others have experienced something similar gives me some peace ...
  • Barring the possibility that both of my cards are counterfeit (pretty sure they are not), I think they're pretty fast? They're both SanDisk 64GB Extreme PRO SDXC UHS-I C10, U3, V30, 4K UHD. I'm ...
  • Thanks for sharing your experience. Maybe this is just a quirk that that camera has, but nothing to really worry about? I guess missing a shot is disappointing.
