Sorry, I like to travel light. Camera on a strap. That's it. My hands protect it from bumps, bruises, etc.

While I probably won't use my X100VI for work, I need to have a neck strap on my cameras because of have to stop and write down information on a note pad. Gotta have some way to hold the camera.

But suppose you need to adjust the length? One size does not fit all.

I'm with you, Alan. Also, if somebody wants to handle my camera, I make them put the neck strap on.

I have put Op/Tech E-Z Comfort neck straps on all of my cameras. Very well-made and comfortable.

You are absolutely correct. That wasn't a good test I did. My experience was similar, but practically the whole screen went completely white, not just brightening up the scene, but washing it out ...

This makes sense. I was in a large, dim room with groups of people 15 to 20 feet away from me. The camera obviously was struggling with the focus.

Tim, I'm glad that somebody else experienced this, and that it's apparently a quirk with these cameras. I owned 4 Panasonic mirrorless cameras and this never happened.
